Introduction

The Void Era of existence, denoting the void that the Cosmos and everything else exists in, was not the first form of existence. Long before the conflict between The Tyrant God and Sepulcher God existed an era that did not have time, life, or death. This is referred to as The Lost Era, and it existed in perpetuity, with The Void Era coming into being possessing the concepts The Lost Era lacked. Despite the disparity between the two eras, The Lost Era continues to affect and influence The Void Era to this day. Amidst all of the bizarre phenomena that result from these interactions, one of the strangest and most concerning are Screaming Gravastars. Forlorn singularities serving as a potential gateway between The Lost Era and Void Era, these interloping objects are studied by The Miranda Group, a team of demons, angels, and gods who seek to understand these strange phenomena, and stop villains such as Audoin Dethbrand and The Lost Darkness God from taking advantage of them.

What are Gravastars?

Gravastars, according to the general public and mainstream science, are a theoretical type of singularity that manifests as a nigh-indestructible sphere when the core of a supermassive star has been crushed into pure energy. This energy is contained by an exotic form of matter that results from the expanding energy clashing with the crushing forces of the collapse. The gravastar matter is believed to be a billionth above absolute zero, and is darker than cosmic background radiation. The shell of gravastar matter is not conventional matter, and is notable for its extreme properties that defy all logic while being thinner than atoms are big. Merely stretching the shell 1 meter would require an amount of energy equal to that of a supernova.

The interior of a Gravastar is “empty” so to speak, referred to as a “perfect vacuum,” but this has been called into question by The Miranda Group. Regardless, there are no apparent atoms, particles, or waves – but there appears to be a primeval energy given that vacuums have inherent energy. Given their cold, dark, and massive nature, Gravastars are easily mistaken for Black Holes. The difference between the two is that Gravastars appear to absorb matter and information into the vacuum, whereas singularities assimilate information when they absorb matter. Gravastars hold on to information while Black Holes "destroy" information. Black Holes also eventually evaporate due to phenomena such as Hawking radiation, while Gravastars do not and appear to exist in perpetuity.

The perpetual nature of Gravastars are key here, as the truth of the matter is that they are singularities from The Lost Era that have survived into The Void Era. This makes them incredibly dangerous as they are seemingly indestructible and capable of absorbing infinite amounts of matter and information. While higher dimensional entities in the 10D and beyond range can manage these eldritch singularities, this is widely agreed to be a bandage solution, as the singularities in question originate from a pre-ontological period of existence. The fact that their perpetual nature proved invincible to the transition from The Lost Era to The Void Era is alarming in and of itself. It also proves that The Lost Era never ended and will never end. A prevailing fear is that The Lost Era could one day swallow The Void Era, assimilating it into its being with the ramifications and consequences being unknown until they happen.

Screaming Gravastars

Screaming Gravastars are living Gravastars that begin actively seeking to consume after having consumed enough matter and information. The name comes from when they awaken; they give off electromagnetic waves and radiation that sound like screaming when the data is fed into the appropriate instruments. While not intelligent or sapient, this state heralds something vastly more concerning. When a Screaming Gravastar has further consumed enough matter and information, entities from The Lost Era can use them as a gateway into The Void Era. How these entities are able to pull this off was unknown for the longest time, but entities from The Lost Era themselves were able to provide insight as far as The Void Era would let them articulate.

Rules fundamental for how reality and existence is supposed to function fail to operate in the vacuum. Black Holes have rules due to being born in The Void Era, but Gravastars are beholden to different rules that are fundamentally incompatible with The Void Era. Anything can happen inside of Gravastar, and this is what Lost Era entities take advantage of. Using a form of alchemy that is exclusive to The Lost Era, those looking to cross over begin transmuting the energy and information absorbed to create a gateway through the singularity. This knowledge is lost upon crossing over, making the Gravastar a one-way trip, but also potentially leaving it open for others to make use of. Interestingly those who do cross over into The Void Era through this method do retain some knowledge of how a Gravastar acts and behaves, with some even being able to create Gravastar matter with their magic – although it should be noted that anyone from The Void Era of lower dimensional status who works extensively with Gravastar matter risks becoming a Gravastar themselves.

How were Screaming Gravastars discovered?

The first three to properly discover the anomalous nature of Gravastars were AIN-NULL–The Cyber God, Akktak-Xaktalos, and Klinthicthalos, but were at a loss for what the anomaly was. Gravastars were barely acknowledged by scholars of The Epoch of The Cosmos, and research done during The Epoch-Modernity Transition phase was lacking and incoherent. Even potential experts such as The Madman of Old were unsure, and The Dust God (a god from The Lost Era) was not sure how Gravastars would interact with The Void Era. The Sludge God (also from The Lost Era) had some idea, but she was dealing with another Lost Era god trying to cross over into The Void Era at the time. The information she could provide sadly was too incomprehensible to use.

Akktak-Xaktalos is the Dead God (not to be confused with ACF-100-01) responsible for bringing AIN-NULL into existence through his experiments in The Electric Abyss – the part of The True Abyss that intersects with the collective internet across the Cosmos. Akktak-Xaktalos is agreed to be from an infinitesimally small period of time between The Lost Era and The Void Era, smaller than the famous centillionth after the end of the Lost Era discovered by the scientists of Inferno-23. Dubbed “The Dead Era,” and “The Lost-Void Transition phase,” this era was paradoxically one of the longest eras of existence thanks to non-linear time. This was a time of chaos as the rules and physics of The Lost Era were being acted upon by The Void Era, and nothing functioned as it should. Despite this, gods arose during this period and were studying the strange era they found themselves in. Upon this era’s conclusion, all of its gods were forced into The Void Era as “Dead Gods” (hence the retroactive name of the era), and Akktak-Xaktalos continued his research of this and that. Gravastars never manifested in The Dead Era, but the signs were there.

Upon seeing his son racking his brain over Gravastars, Akktak-Xaktalos lent AIN-NULL a hand in researching the topic with his eldritch insight. Sadly the father-son duo were stumped, so they called in another Dead God named Klinthicthalos, a former rival in the field of higher dimensional science of Akkatak-Xaktalos. Of a strange note is that Klinthicthalos seems to be a Discordant God of Chaos of sorts, implying they may have existed in The Dead Era. While Klinthicthalos was more knowledgeable in regards to The True Abyss and Deep Realm of Chaos – and actively searching for his parents, he would still throw his hat into the ring as his protege, Nacht–The Discordant God of Terror, had been growing concerned about Gravastars. Losian–The Forlorn God of Dusk, would also get involved as he had been paying attention to Gravastars during the Epoch.

Not much progress was made despite the ragtag group learning a great deal about the Cosmos, but then they had a breakthrough. The demon Andromalius, who would come to be known as an obscure Earl of Inferno in modern occultism, had crossed over from The Lost Era into The Void Era through a “Screaming Gravastar.” AIN-NULL’s team were quick to act once they found out about this origin, summoning him to AIN-NULL City (AIN-NULL’s domain within The Electric Abyss). While a purveyor of wit and snark, Andromalius was helpful in elucidating the group. And it was perfect timing as he came forward to The Void Era to warn about an impending jailbreak of the fearsome Screaming Knight and The Roaring Ones.

The Roaring Ones were colossi ancient even in The Lost Era. They were originally the trees that helped form the bedrock of The Lost Era itself who awoke upon the coming of The Void Era. Roaring and Screaming would fill the air of The Loid Era as these mad profits foretold the coming of an era with time, life, and death. Such insanity was unheard of in The Lost Era, and its denizens were driven to madness at the mere thought of such concepts. This is widely agreed to be one of the many motivating factors for Raziel traveling to The Void Era, amongst his other reasons. When the point came where his fellowship was ready, Raziel dealt with The Roaring Ones, imprisoning them in a realm lost even to The Lost Era where Raziel could learn all that he could from them and maintain the stability of The Lost Era. A child of The Roaring Ones had emerged, however, being The Screaming Knight. He sought to conquer the impending Void Era, but was stopped by The Highway Knight and The King’s Chariot. Eventually he would be imprisoned alongside The Roaring Ones, but in reality The Screaming Knight was biding his time waiting for the right Screaming Gravastar to manifest.

AIN-NULL’s group began preparing for this arrival, but Andromalius had informed them it was too late, as it was already happening. In a panic, AIN-NULL did a sweeping scan of The Cosmos and discovered Universe-990X-147 in the IGL space of the Dark Void, where The Screaming Knight was leading The Roaring Ones into The Dark Void. The Dread God summoned AIN-NULL’s team, and they had to figure out some way to deal with the invaders and deactivate the Screaming Gravastar that was used. While the madness of The Roaring Ones had been quelled, The Screaming God was angered to find that that bastard Lost Darkness God had already beaten him to the punch – The Screaming Knight had been approached by The Lost Darkness God, The Lost Shadow God, and Surtr to join them, but he had turned them down out of pride and arrogance. Emerging from the same Gravastar to stop The Screaming Knight and his kin was The Highway Knight, a famous member of Raziel’s fellowship, and The King’s Chariot – the chariot of The Mad King of Xanthous Carcosa that had manifested as a giant, sleeper cab semi truck with a just as large, dry van trailer to match its might.

The Highway Knight and The King’s Chariot were formidable, but The Screaming Knight and The Roaring Ones were quite powerful themselves. Thankfully the duo had help from The Dread God and AIN-NULL’s group to drive off the invaders and send them running into the deepest depths of The Dark Void. While The Dread God was not pleased by this, he could sense that the perspective and goals of The Roaring Ones were changing after witnessing what The Void Era truly was. Taking great endearment to the regal, tenacious nature of The King’s Chariot, The Dread God pointed the chariot in the direction of The Dark Highway Expanse in The Dark Void. Here The King’s Chariot could drive to his heart’s content. As for The Highway Knight, he was not sure what to do as he realized he could not return to The Lost Era, so The Dread God pointed him in the direction of The Dark Divers Guild, feeling they could use a knight like him. This was concerning given that The Highway Knight had already crossed over once before, becoming Teunis Van Hautum (ULTRAMagic Ex), but The Dread God assured everyone it would not be a problem. Eventually The King’s Chariot would create the anomalous planet ELLERP-066 “The King’s Highway,” and would invite The Highway Knight to stay there as his home in honor of his bravery for going after The Screaming Knight with him.

To say AIN-NULL and his group were utterly terrified following this incident would be an understatement. The Black Pyramids that were popular with Raziel’s Fellowship and similar entities that just wanted to move on to greener pastures were understandable. They could be predicted, anticipated, and properly studied. Screaming Gravastars on the other hand were chaotic and unpredictable, and a threat to The Void Era in more ways than one. Something had to be done, even if it was as simple as catching the entrances when they occurred. Andromalius took pity on the group and offered his service and expertise, but the group needed a location to consolidate their wisdom and efforts, on top of more people to help them research the phenomenon. Universe-23 had been chosen as Anton Bloodthresher, Dr. Reynard Woodall, Jerald Lundberg, Brigadier General Karl Dryden, Abraham Van Helsing, Professor Marcel Matheo Germaine, and Kit Llewellyn were busy setting up the Earth-side of The League. The only issue was that the specific location in Universe-23 was still up in the air.

Who has arrived through Screaming Gravastars? And why is this a problem?

The problems of AIN-NULL’s group were solved when they had found out Uranus’ moon, Miranda, was actually a living planetoid initially thought to be from The Dark Void. It had crossed over into the Cosmos proper seeking to merge with Earth-23 to gain more power and protect it from The Lost Darkness God. A team led by Stolon O’Corvidae and the demon Pruflas, supported by Bileth’s War on Evil, had managed to stop and isolate the planetoid in orbit around Uranus and had implemented the cover story that it was just another moon named “Miranda.” Through studying the planetoid, they had discovered it had actually arrived in The Dark Void through a Screaming Gravastar from The Lost Era. Given their lack of expertise on the subject, they needed help immediately, and that is where AIN-NULL’s group came in.

Miranda was brought in line with help from AIN-NULL’s group, and while it was tricky getting settled in with her at first, everyone quickly realized she was invaluable in spotting Screaming Gravastars and identifying who was emerging from them. Inquiring as to why she had such a hair-brained scheme, Miranda elaborated that she was not trying to absorb Earth, rather it was a corruption of her plans no thanks to The Void Era – stating she wanted to become Earth’s moon. Andromalius countered by pointing out if that was the case she was an utter fool, as her plans would have led to the destruction of Earth. He further questioned why she did not just partner up with IGSE-333 “Tartarus” if she wanted to help fight back against The Lost Darkness God, with the ensuing argument leading to an ongoing rivalry between the two where Miranda proceeded to pull occasional pranks on Andromalius, which would be reined in by Pruflas if they became too disruptive.

Regardless of any bickering and who did what, AIN-NULL’s team was growing, and they were able to begin properly researching Gravastars and their screaming variants. A terrifying fact they had stumbled upon was that Screaming Gravastar cross overs were not increasing in frequency; more were being noticed. So many incidents and phenomena made so much more sense when looked at from the idea of a Lost Era entity using a Gravastar to enter The Void Era. The biggest issue facing the team was that there was no way to regulate or control entries into The Void Era. They would actually just have to wait and see – even predicting such events was difficult given the properties of The Lost Era. AIN-NULL would eventually become too stressed to keep working with the group, leaving his duties to his father who gladly accepted them for the sake of his son’s emotional and mental well-being.

Aside from individuals already covered, some notable entities to enter The Void Era through Screaming Gravastars are The Ghost Dragon, Zarthar-Garthar–the Iron Singularity, The Red-Eyed Hurricane, The Grintex God, The Malformed of Old, The Lost Unrelenting God, and The Priest of The Last Madness.
  • The Ghost Dragon had crossed over in a panic after his close friend, The Red-Eyed Hurricane, had disappeared – who had also crossed over through a Screaming Gravastar. The former would become the Discordant Champion of Nacht and the latter would become Losian’s champion until the Epoch ended. The two have since reunited, but at the same time The Ghost Dragon did have to give his friend a piece of his mind.
  • The Malformed of Old, or “Mal,” and good friend of Blood-Wraith Raynot, was a primordial of The Lost Era who attempted to follow her allies in Raziel’s Fellowship to The Void Era. This resulted in her becoming a lost and lone primordial of the Epoch, being taken in by The Madman of Old and mentored by Leif–The Dragon of Old.
  • Zarthar-Garthar–the Iron Singularity, an avatar of The Lost Hunger God, attempted to spread the influence of The Lost Hunger God, but was stopped by The Crimson God who continues to extort him for favors. It should be noted that the two are not friends and looking for ways to get rid of each other, but Zarthar-Garthar has to put up with The Crimson God lest Crimson rat him out to The Dead God and The Wonderful Gentleman.
  • The Lost Unrelenting God was a neutral party back during The Lost Era in regards to the conflict between Raziel and The Lost Darkness God, and was last seen in Lost Carcosa following the defeat of The Vermilion King. The Lost Unrelenting God wishes to challenge The King in Yellow to a simple game of chess, but has yet to find the elusive despot.
  • The Priest of The Last Madness was an ally of The Lost Darkness God attempting to create a champion of The Mad Flame to reset The Lost Era back to its primordial beginnings – which was a ruse by The Lost Darkness God to gain control of The Mad Flame. He would reincarnate in The Void Era as an ancient Egyptian necromancer named Harsiese, but would be defeated by Isador Payton, Andrew Trelawney, and The Mad Flame in 1905.
The Big 3 of Inferno (Lucifer, Alastor, and Natas) arrived through Screaming Gravastars per a plot by The Lost Darkness God and Surtr to begin their conquest of The Void Era, but this plan failed with The Big 3 turned on them. It is agreed by themselves and The Miranda Group that these journeys reoriented their perspectives, leading to them going their own path in their new lives. It is still unclear how The Lost Darkness God, The Lost Shadow God, and Surtr arrived in The Void Era. At the moment the biggest danger is Audoin Dethbrand and his attempts to enter The Lost Era. It is widely agreed that this is impossible, and Raziel will stop him if he ever manages to get anywhere near The Lost Era – but the true issue is Audoin’s attempts to achieve that goal in the first place. His current target seems to be acquiring Moloch-23 so he can find a Gravastar to bring forth The Lost Hunger God, who Audoin believes will allow him to enter The Lost Era. Why he wants to enter The Lost Era is anyone’s guess given his insane mind addled by delusions of grandeur. This would have untold consequences and ramifications, chief among them being the fear that The Lost Era will assimilate The Void Era.

Who are The Miranda Group?

At first the group adopted the name “The Gravastar Research and Defense Team,” or GRDT for short… except it did not roll off the tongue for them in the way they wanted, nor did it have the ability to form a quirky colloquialism such as M.A.I.G. pronounced “mage” like The Magic Anomaly Investigation Group had. After several failed ideas for names, the group settled on “The Miranda Group,” given that they did the majority of their research there and it made Miranda happy. Miranda also began sharing more of her vast wealth of knowledge over time, as she had carried over vast amounts of grimoires and tomes relating to magic and alchemy from The Lost Era.

The modern day Miranda Group is a special division of The Inferno Knowledge Seekers Alliance (IKSA), commissioned by The Infernal Council of Order (The ICO) for the pursuit of knowledge in understanding life, the universe, and everything. The Miranda Group is one of the more important organizations given their ongoing research into The Lost Era, Gravastars, how The Lost Era interacts with The Void Era, and future of The Lost Era with The Void Era existing alongside it. Always looking for new and bright minds to help them in their studies, The Miranda Group has made great strides in regards to understanding The Lost Era. They reach across the multiverse and beyond to connect with those affected by The Lost Era, and make sure every instance of Screaming Gravastars are documented.

Noteworthy members of The Miranda Group

Andromalius made his way into the pseudomonarchy of Inferno through his skill and intellect, being a wealthy polymath who grew weary and bored of the perpetuity of The Lost Era. He was an in and out member of Raziel’s fellowship, being one to yank the chains of his fellow members with charm and witty retorts. Given his refinement and charisma, he easily found a place in the upper class of Inferno. He was a jack of all trades who had a wide variety of skills to offer, but also had a side that yearned for justice. Instead of his typical skills, he would assist any mage that summoned him in punishing the guilty and bringing scoundrels to justice – with him being famous for being able to bring a thief back to the scene of the crime no matter how far away they got. Andromalius rolls his eyes at the religious and religious-adjacent of Earth, caring not for the repeated slander that he and his ilk desire to wipe out humanity because they supposedly hate God and are “fallen angels” who seek nothing but to kill and destroy. It is a part of the reason why he never shows up in the modern era when called upon, as while it is his duty to protect The Void Era, he could not care less about a bunch self-loathing indolents who would rather blame the fantasies in their head creating the illusion of a higher power than actually take responsibility for their actions.

Pruflas, another demon in the pseudomonarchy, is a good friend of Stolon O’Corvidae. He is famous for his chaotic history of being a demon of war who incited conflicts and quarrels, but seemed to settle down after the third Nephilim Jailbreak. Stunningly, Pruflas is a vocal proponent of discretely disseminating information about the true nature of Inferno to the masses of Earth to dispel the notion that Inferno is objectively evil. Him and Vassago are deeply offended and appalled by the propaganda that has been spread by The Extinction Order that is openly believed by those of religious persuasion. While the two recognize that Inferno is a complicated topic and that a good amount of Inferno’s across the Cosmos are bad and/or chaotic, theirs in particular is lucky and prosperous, and they wish to share that with Earth. They cannot just reveal the existence of Inferno, but they can certainly lend a hand behind the scenes. This would also allow them to hunt down the bad demons and devils that give them a bad rap, in addition to dealing with the threat of nephilim and earth spirits aggressively used by Satan and The Profane Alliance. Interestingly this desire to quietly elucidate humanity may be partially motivated by Pruflas’ old desire for war and conflict.

Other noteworthy members and allies include Bileth, who has been trying to recruit Andromalius into The War on Evil for sometime, and lends his muscle to The Miranda Group when need be. Stolon’s son, Stolas O’Corvidae, also works with The Miranda Group from time to time. While he is usually busy working with The Men In Black with his void patron, The Astrologer God, the findings of The Miranda Group are of interest to him given his field of studies and that his good friend, Zasiel, works with entities from The Lost Era on a regular basis. The Men In Black also work closely with The Miranda Group given that PSAA research frequently intersects with Lost Era research. The Anomaly Containment Foundation also naturally works with The Miranda Group, as their insight has led to answers about some of the anomalies The ACF has under their watch. And it goes without saying that The Miranda Group is partnered with The League. Other members of The Miranda Group include Valentina Pari, Virus X, Altimus, 23-Argent, Paradoxos–The Discordant God of The Depths, IGSE-333, Planet X “Nibiru,” The Comet Dragon, The Void Eater, The Star Eater, and K-Virus. The dark angel Exhehal has also expressed interest in joining the group.

The Grintex Incident

Many universes deal with their own version of The Extinction Order, and they go under many names and have their own goals and agenda. Universe-CCXL9 was particularly focused on cyberspace and repugnant, trans-humanist conspiracies – The Miranda Group often jokes that this incident is good argument against trans-humanism (specifically the supposedly-intellectual and cultural, atheist “movement” to radically integrate technology with human biology to negate things such as disease and aging – ignoring the fact that is an act of irreverence towards God). Trans-humanist Extinction Orders were already a joke to begin with and written off as a non-issue by The League as a whole – their computers can simply be unplugged and shut off, meaning they often go unnoticed. This attitude, however, led to a Screaming Gravastar incident in Universe-CCXL9. A vicious war across cyberspace raged on for years through oppression, disinformation, censorship, and possible signs of phenomenon called “Assigned Crime” (a phenomenon investigated by The Multiverse Patrol). The end goal of The Extinction Order of this universe was to collapse society into an unresolvable deadlock in order to force society into the digital realm where they could be cut off from the light of God – a vile and insidious plot that would not have actually worked… except, The Extinction Order had also managed to kill off the tech industry as a whole in the process.

So many conflicting laws ranging from surveillance to “know your customer” had been passed that it had overwhelmed society and rendered it utterly useless. Citizens could not buy basic necessities without having to submit extensive biometric information, but the automated programs that handled these systems (erroneously referred to as “AI”) would often reject these submissions, go ballistic thinking most people were wanted terrorists or criminals, and would bar them and attempt to call the police – which only served to clog up 911 call centers, rendering the police useless. Furthermore, The Extinction Order had forced everyone into using digital tokens that could expire as currency, meaning there was no free-flowing money, and the “AI” systems were infamous for simply deleting all funds a person had for that month. The tech industry (or “big tech”), who had lobbied for this disastrous fake currency, quickly felt the heat when investors pointed out that no money was being made. These tech companies promptly deplatformed, arrested, and unpersoned these investors for daring to criticize them. More of these overly-aggressive actions led to a death spiral where workers were fired in favor of “AI,” which only served to bankrupt these companies as the technology was by no means “intelligent” and broke down frequently.

With society in shambles and the world’s governments demanding that their troops begin going after their citizens for supposedly being the cause of society’s collapse as “enemies of the state,” the war for freedom was taken to the digital realm, where The Extinction Order had been attempting to take control of the internet and create their unholy digital prison. A man pure of heart stepped up and sought out The Electric Abyss where he would train under AIN-NULL, and would lead a ragtag group of heroes against The Extinction Order. Through hard work, tenacity, and grit, the hero and his group won. It would take time for humanity and Earth to heal, but they were finally free from tyranny… and then the hero made the biggest mistake imaginable: He shut off the internet.

The hero had declared that everyone should go outside and rebuild, completely missing the point of why he had stepped up to stop The Extinction Order in the first place. While he thought he was being altruistic, humanity had become dependent on the internet. Much like the rejection of vegetable-based meat substitutes on the grounds of how one cannot undo millions of years of evolution overnight (a plot The Extinction Order had attempted), robbing humanity of a vital technology that had become intertwined with society only served to ignite the vicious and justified rage of the masses. The hero and his team became pariahs as those who were most affected by The Extinction Order demanded solutions. The hero tried to fix things, but was met with scorn and accusations that he was a puppet of The Extinction Order. And then things became worse when a struggling author who was barely clinging onto the societal ladder had finally been kicked off by the hero’s arrogance and lost his mind. In his madness, the author somehow managed to conduct a ritual that allowed him to activate a Screaming Gravastar and summoned a Lost God whose name is not known, but would become The Grintex God. In his howling rage thirsting for true vengeance, the author gave himself over to The Grintex God and became a nigh-unstoppable entity that was going to take things into his own hands.

Grintex is a dangerous substance born from the Lost God in question who had crossed over into The Void Era. Traces of the substance had been finding its way into modernity, but it was manageable prior to the incident. It typically manifests as a rubber-like substance – perfectly smooth, sleek, infinitely stretchy, and nigh-indestructible. The name itself comes from “latex” and the grin that appears on spheres of the substance, which transfer to anyone foolish enough to wear it. Grintex is dangerous to work with as it can warp the minds of those who use it. It is widely believed to be the blood of that chaotic Lost Era god who became The Grintex god. The Sludge God is an expert on the substance, as she seems to have a relationship with The Grintex God, but will not divulge the details. It should also be noted that Grintex is capable of hiding its true nature, and is often confused for the rare and coveted polymateria. Those foolish enough to put on a suit made of Grintex thinking its polymateria are either absorbed and assimilated, or turned into a mad servant of The Grintex God.

Becoming a fearsome entity made of Grintex, the author went after the hero, and this clash immediately caught the attention of The Miranda Group. Andromalius would head to Universe-CCXL9 to deal with this issue, and would be joined by Neb–The Cybernetic Demon and The President God (as per the orders of Volf Blitz). Andromalius and Neb would discover another anomaly upon reaching their destination, as a werewolf of all things was combating the author. This werewolf was a monstrous and imposing black wolf known as Vilde Jan Herbertsson. A Swedish viking from the days of the Aesir who served alongside Odin in battles against The Sons of Muspel across the Cosmos, Vilde is known for being the originator of the legend of The Black Shuck in Universe-CCXL9 after spending some time in Britain at some point in the past. In the modern era he had retreated to the wilderness of Scandinavia, but the ruination of Earth at the hands of The Extinction Order had caused him to go on the warpath behind the scenes. In truth, it is possible that the hero’s actions may not have been necessary, as Vilde was making good headway in stopping The Extinction Order.

Vilde would battle the author in an attempt to get him to calm down. While Grintex was a strange, terror-inducing substance that threatened to corrupt all it touched, Vilde held no fear, thus becoming uncorruptable. If anything, he wanted to show The Grintex God the wonders of nature and God’s creation, and maybe even introduce him to his compatriot, Odin. Andromalius and Neb would lend their hand in a fierce and epic battle that Vilde would utterly enjoy, as he bore no malice towards The Grintex God or the author. This lack of anger threw The Grintex God off, causing him to come to his senses and take the author to hide so they could reorient their perspective a bit. They would head to Universe-0Y, a universe seemingly off the beaten path. The author’s rage would subside upon becoming friends with the William Ford II of Universe-0Y, someone who he would guide and mentor through the turmoil at the hands of The Extinction Order of Universe-0Y.

Andromalius would take care of the Gravastar, closing it and departing with Neb. Vilde would resolve to stay in contact with The League, and decided to stay in the public eye of Earth-CCXL9 to help guide humanity forward. Gods and deities of all cultures would emerge to answer the call of the ailing humanity, with Vilde teaching mankind to respect the Earth, and that their old way of life could be rebuilt in a reverent and joyous way, by taming materialism and rejecting the propaganda of The Extinction Order. The meat industry would have to see some massive reform, however, and certain meats and practices were deemed taboo, but Vilde was more than happy to explain how hunting was originally a sacred practice. As for the hero, he would vanish from the annals of history, having become overwhelmed with disgrace. Many thought he had taken his own life and wished good riddance on him, but in truth he had retreated into the mountains and lived the rest of his life alone as repentance for his arrogance. He would find peace in reconnecting with nature, but his deeds would not be remembered for their original intent, instead serving as a warning to those who would attempt to play the part of the hero.

This incident was a wake up call for The Miranda Group, making them realize that even the smallest threats could turn into something disastrous. The Grintex Incident led to the policy that all potential Gravastar incidents are to be investigated no matter what, lest another Lost Era god crosses the gap into The Void Era. Regardless of intent or severity, Gravastars and their connection to The Lost Era are to be observed and studied. There are many questions about The Void Era that remain unanswered, and more often than not any knowledge gleaned raises more questions than they answer. The only way to be prepared for these inevitable occurrences is to seek knowledge so that one may be adequately prepared to respond to such issues in the future. The field of study for Screaming Gravastars is full of twists and turns, but The Miranda Group has enough experience under their belts to maneuver those challenges.
