Haze & Chaos - Retaliation Part 7

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      Liam was stunned by what he was seeing, but it was a welcome reprieve regardless. “Will, is that you?”      “HEY, Billy!” Pace said as he stepped to give Will a high five and fist bump. “Good to see you again–honestly thought you were dead!”      Will laughed, Pace’s smart ass brand of humor always being a pleasure. “Pace, it was just one incident…”      “And Nickie Sparkles and that weird song she sang at your birthday party.”      Will inhaled and sighed. “You know, I’m starting to realize there is something terrifying behind her given what I’ve been learning recently…”      “Will, what are you doing here?” Barry asked as he stepped over. “Oh right, the trial…”      That made Will chuckle. “I could ask the same of you–Sam and the others are over there, by the way,” he said as he pointed in their general direction, with Ha...

Do you think you made the right choice, kid? Pulling the rug out from everybody's feet like that? Well let me tell you something: YOU. CHOOSE. POORLY." ...a werewolf of all things was combating the author. This werewolf was a monstrous and imposing black wolf known as Vilde Jan Herbertsson. A Swedish viking from the days of the Aesir who served alongside Odin in battles against The Sons of Muspel across the Cosmos, Vilde is known for being the originator of the legend of The Black Shuck in Universe-CCXL9 after spending some time in Britain at some point in the past. In the modern era he had retreated to the wilderness of Scandinavia, but the ruination of Earth at the hands of The Extinction Order had caused him to go on the warpath behind the scenes. In truth, it is pos...

ULTRAMagic Alternate Lore Entry 30 - Screaming Gravastars Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon Introduction      The Void Era of existence, denoting the void that the Cosmos and everything else exists in, was not the first form of existence. Long before the conflict between The Tyrant God and Sepulcher God existed an era that did not have time, life, or death. This is referred to as The Lost Era, and it existed in perpetuity, with The Void Era coming into being possessing the concepts The Lost Era lacked. Despite the disparity between the two eras, The Lost Era continues to affect and influence The Void Era to this day. Amidst all of the bizarre phenomena that result from these interactions, one of the strangest and most concerning are Screaming Gravastars. Forlorn singularities serving as a potential gateway between The Lost Era and Void Era, these interloping objects are studied by The Miranda Group, a team of demons, angels, and gods who seek to understand ...

Haze & Chaos - Retaliation Part 6

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon February 23, 2025      Will was hoping time would drag on for him leading up to the week of the first hearing. Preparing for the case was stressful, and receiving letters that detailed what he had to do was dread-inducing given that his team had to interact with Laurence’s as per standard protocol for civil cases. As if to pull the rug out from under Will’s feet, February 23rd had arrived in no time at all. On the other hand, Will was kind of glad that the preparation went smoothly and quickly given that he did not want this matter taking months of his life–he would have just gone and hunted down Laurence if that was the case. Thankfully there seemed to be no sign of danger, allowing Antonio to drive Will and Sam to New York City. Jackson had offered to drive the two, but Antonio insisted as memories from his past life had enthralled him in a grip of inescapable nostalgia.      Starting the day prior, the tr...

Haze & Chaos - Retaliation Part 5

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      “Why are you guys acting so weird?” Will questioned, glancing around the room. Anton was facepalming, Abraham had a displeased look on his face as he stared blankly to avoid Will’s eyes, and Caelan had an expression that looked like a boss who did not know how to break it to his employee. Quincy elected to remain silent and kept his face buried in his magazine. “Guys, you’re creeping me out…” And then there was the knock at the door.      Anton sighed and shook his head. “Come on in…” He then quickly put his people-face back on.      “Hey, everyone…” a boy’s voice that sounded weirdly close to Will’s said as the door creaked open. The boy in question was strange, and even then that did not fully capture the weird feeling he gave off. His lavender-colored body was sleek, futuristic with segmented and glowing parts, and he looked incredibly fit. Embedded in his chest was an apparently-fle...
