ULTRAMagic (Before) Prelude - Chapter 6

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      The following day, a majestic, four-winged, avian dragon landed in the main courtyard, catching any guild members present off guard. Once the dragon’s passenger hopped off, it reverted back into a beautiful woman in an elegant coat who was accompanied by a quirky man in formal attire. Aava Janzen-Caden and Mind-Wraith Caden had returned from their journey to the border of The Deep Realm of Chaos after needing to assist the Discordant Gods Nacht and Paradoxos with something that concerned the two in regards to the Lost Era. As they made their way inside they were greeted by their fellow guild mates, and while things seemed to be fairly jovial, the two could sense that the guild was abuzz with excitement. Given the news they had received while away it was to be expected and had their interest peaked.      It was lunch time when they entered the sconce and chandelier-lit great hall and they immediately re...

ULTRAMagic (Before) Prelude - Chapter 5

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      “...and that’s all we know at the moment, EP,” Leif concluded as he paced back and forth across the center of his office over the soft, burgundy carpet.      A rune-engraved stone sitting on Leif’s intricate, walnut desk projected the image of a hooded figure, and this man paused to reflect on the situation with Blood-Wraith. “Nosmirc, know that I don’t say this lightly, but you have legitimately put the entire Cosmos in danger…”      Nosmirc felt his adrenaline surge, gripped in panic as he stuttered over his words. “You think I don’t realize that by now?!” he replied, trying to salvage his bruised honor.      “Nosmirc, we are running out of time here,” Tiberius warned. “Remember, we sent Desislav Robles to The Iron City and pushed Dragoslava to return so she could be there for Blood-Wraith. She’s developed a rapport with Mr. Robles, but we have no idea how long she wil...

ULTRAMagic (Before) Prelude - Chapter 4

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      At the opposite end of the castle entered a man of tall and strong stature. He looked tired and worn, yet refused to stop fighting. He sighed as he brushed his combed, dark brown hair back and was met by a kind-looking woman in a modest dress and blouse from the Celtic islands. She had long, curly, dirty blonde hair with a hint of red to it and smelled of wild flowers, which was pleasant to the senses. Her silver eyes met the man’s ruby red eyes and she could see how exhausted he was in general. She got up from her seat in the hall and went to speak to him, hoping to cheer him up.      “Leif, welcome back, dear. How did things go?”      The man exhaled and straightened out his vest. “Hello, Carol. It went… Things went about as well as you would expect. The Beast of Old is still under the hysteria spell from The Fear of Old, and he just would not listen to me. On the bright side I was ab...

ULTRAMagic (Before) Prelude - Chapter 3

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      “Ooh, what a fascinating little… entity,” Barry said as he tried to observe Blood-Wraith, causing the boy to walk away from him as he tried to follow him in circles.      A surge of electricity zapped away from Barry’s right arm and dusted himself off. It was a strange demon, a devil to be precise, who had futuristic, silver skin, spots of glowing, aqua green energy, and wild hair that was tamed and matched his skin. He was not amused with his partner’s antics and sighed. “Barry, don’t freak the boy out…”      “I won’t, Vapor 6, I won’t…”      Scotty put his hand on Barry’s shoulder and stopped him as Blood-Wraith hid behind Zara. “Barry, you’ll have time to ask him questions back at the guild.      “Which will have to wait, given that we have an Audoan Knight to pursue,” The Highway Knight commented as his engines idled, the smell of exhaust wafting in t...

ULTRAMagic (Before) Prelude - Chapter 2

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      “Wow, all of that sounds incredible…” Blood-Wraith remarked at Scotty’s explanation of The Dark Divers Guild as they walked back to the guild hall down the dusty dirt road. “Even if I’m not sure what all of that… IGL stuff is…”      “Honestly, Blood, you’re dodging a massive bullet not knowing the ins and outs of IGL…” Zara added. “Some of the crazier stuff from the really screwed up universes that the advanced squads are authorized to explore still messes with me…”      “What’s a bullet?” Blood-Wraith wondered, causing Zara to groan over her gaffe.      Scotty chuckled and indicated for the three to walk down the right-hand path. “Don’t worry, Blood, it’s a figure of speech. And I’d love to give you a run down of Iteration Generation Loss in terms of all that science mambo-jumbo…” That comment made Blood-Wraith laugh, causing Scotty to chuckle again. “...but that would r...

ULTRAMagic (Before) Prelude - Chapter 1

Eon 2 | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      Scotty Cottonwood woke up slowly that morning, not wanting to get out of bed. He had a relatively comfortable sleep, but at the same time his teeth felt uncomfortable and he was a tad overheated from the warmth of his thick, piled up blankets. There was an underlying feeling of anxiety as he had work to do that day. He unburied himself from the mound of bedding, brushed his messy blonde hair out of his face (he was in need of a haircut), and trudged his way across his bedroom in The Dark Divers Guild Hall. The floorboards creaked as he walked and the door swung up with the hinges being quite noisy (he would have to oil them at some point in the near future) as light flooded into the dimly lit room.      In the past he would have said hello and good morning to his Ma and Pa as he passed by them to head for the shower, but Scotty was not back home on his wide open ranch in Alabama. Rather he was maneuvering ...

ULTRAMagic (Before) Prelude - Introduction

Cover | First Master Post - Patreon      What in the blue blazes is this story? Book 9.1?! What does this have to do with anything? Well, have a seat and I’ll explain. This is a very special story that serves to explain what happened right before ULTRAMagic Prelude in regards to the plans of Leif (The Dragon of Old) and a certain someone had to stop The Lich of Old. Let’s just say that the overall plans were not perfect and we are about to meet a special ar’ton we all know and love, seeing what he was like long before he became the man he is now. Not only that, but we will finally get a glimpse into the enigmatic Dark Divers Guild. This will be a short book, only a novelette in length, but will greatly expand the scope of ULTRAMagic Alternate as a whole. And if you read ULTRAMagic Eon 2 (this is book 9.1, why haven’t you read the other books already?), you will already have a good idea on what is about to happen.      This book will tie into the events of...
