UMAE 2026 - The Fear of Old

Image
Art Page - Master Post - Patreon Hey, I haven't drawn a primordial from ULTRAMagic Alternate in a very long time! And this time we have one that has had multiple appearances in the books. Also I am going to forego posting this on Newgrounds because this was experimental and I don't feel like getting spammed with 1 star ratings. Go ahead and critique this, I just don't want that to come with the expectation that this has to be high art and I'm not allowed to experiment. - - - - -      In the ancient past, during the Epoch of the Cosmos, when God created the Primordials to pave the way for Man, two Primordials went against the will of God and created three Primordials of their own... Through passion and divine inspiration, The Sulfur of Old and The Mercury of Old came together and created three sons: The Child of Old, an alchemist who would go on to became a great scholar of Atlantis and be elucidated by Poimandres The Hunger of Old, a proud warrior with a thirst for ba...

Haze & Chaos - Reunion A Part 14

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      Given that everyone needed time to calm down and prepare, the banquet was to be held the day after the next day. Will was a little nervous that day following Sebastian’s attack, as he was going to be presenting to General Jerald Lundberg himself to receive his honors. Thankfully Antares was tasked with spending the day with Will at his house to get him ready. It was as simple as the two practicing and Antares reminding him of the ‘shake, take, and salute’ procedure. Antares also gave him a rundown as to why he was being promoted to Specialist, and Mads had also joined this conversation given his experience with ENCOM. Specifically Will was being promoted for his ULTRAMagic and membership in The ULTRAMagic Guild. While a little unconventional, Will was deemed a special asset given how rare ULTRAMagic was on Earth. And given that General Lundberg and Aalders were both members of The League, it was a no brainer.  ...

Haze & Chaos - Reunion A Part 13

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      The esoteric tale Erika told the group was beyond comprehension. While some of it were things they already knew, the other part was from her perspective as The Mercury of Old. From what she had learned through her ancient studies during the Epoch, the forbidden angel Raziel had originated from The Lost Era–the time before time, where everything existed in perpetuity with no life, death, or time. Due to an event lost to history even in The Lost Era, Raziel entered the era of the void and began construction of the black pyramids, monuments that would allow those of The Lost Era a one way trip to modernity–amongst other methods. Over the eras and eons many of the pyramids were either damaged or destroyed, and the fragments scattered all over the Cosmos and beyond. And in the glass case sat such a fragment, beautiful like the darkest obsidian which gave off a foreboding feeling that was terrible and wondrous at the same ...

Haze & Chaos - Reunion A Part 12

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      PSAA, or ‘Paranormal/Supernatural Alien Activity’ was a field of study that The Liger Brigade went out of its way to keep from the public eye. Being what the name suggested, it was arrogant to assume that alien species did not have their own gods, angels, and demons. The same went for any phenomenon that could not be easily explained. People like Sam and Will would be utterly confused as to why PSAA was such a hot topic and why it needed to be kept so secretive. They had met literal gods, higher dimensional entities, and been to a realm that is not supposed to exist in the first place. The core issue was that Earth and its sister planet, Atlangea, were pretty different from the rest of the universe. Whereas the two planets sought out that the divine and infernal through faith or logic, other civilized planets did not quite share this zeal. Other planets had their own religions, but they more often than not lacked a fi...

Haze & Chaos - Reunion A Part 11

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      Antares groaned a little and started drumming his fingers on the table. “Can we force Valentin to join The Liger Brigade, and further force him into my squad so I can keep an eye on him?”      Aalders gave him a slightly incredulous look. “I mean–if Valentin wishes to join the Brigade, then I can arrange for him to be a part of your squad… Antares, we can’t just draft people willy-nilly like that–Will was a special case…”      Antares got up and banged his hands on the table. “General, I am getting tired of people under my watch going out and getting into trouble…”      “Antares, I have no plans to do anything as crazy as my previous quest,” Valentin stated in defense of his honor. “That was a once in a lifetime deal…”      “Yeah, don’t you think you’re being a little harsh at the moment?” Morrigan criticized.      “Out of line, Devilfay,” ...

Haze & Chaos - Reunion A Part 10

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      “You know what?” Antares put in. “I’d like a meeting with Ludwig and Rostislav, posthaste…”      “Absolutely, Lt. Colonel,” Barry replied. “I’ll talk to Captain Leichenberg as soon as I get back.” Barry did not notice it, but Will was trying to sink into his chair.      “Sit up straight, Private Ford,” Dryden instructed. “This is a debriefing after all.”      “Yes sir…” he answered as he got back up.      “Well if you’ll handle that situation, Antares, let’s finally get to what just happened today,” Aalders resumed. “First up, ANTIMagic Haze…”      “I vote that Will takes care of him going forward,” said Bran. “No offense, Aalders, but we do NOT want him back…”      Haze stuck Will’s hand up to speak. “Oh come on, Bran, M.A.I.G. HQ was a lot of fun,” he jokingly complained… This warranted a growl from Bran.    ...

Haze & Chaos - Reunion A Part 9

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      The sky deck was the flight deck of Camelot, akin to a maritime carrier-class ship. Unlike those ships, however, the sky deck was more similar to an airport runway. Due to the nature of Camelot being at high altitudes on a regular basis, the sky deck was used less for take offs and rather for landings. And one of the current entities to land was the very unwelcome hydra-class shadow construct. It was a black and red serpent at forty feet tall, completely metallic, and had three heads that roared and fired lasers from their mouths. And it was durable too, standing up to fire from the tiltrotors and a fly by from Shaye and Ahhotep. No soldiers were present on the sky deck as only a mad man would be ballsy enough to try fighting up there while Camelot was high up in the sky. Thankfully Will and the group were just the people for the job, but they also had to figure out how to get that job done.      Morri...
