ULTRAMagic (Before) Prelude - Chapter 9

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      Mind-Wraith was running circles around Damien now that he knew what he was dealing with. In the past Damien must have been a real bully of a fighter, brash and going for attacks that sought to overwhelm his opponent, but now he was just a bog-standard brute who used offense as his defense. Instead of exchanging blows, Mind-Wraith outright refused to let Damien get in a successful attack. Wind blast after wind blast assaulted the knight while Aava would launch boulders at Damien. In this chaos Damien began screaming every time he was pushed back or denied, raging like an egomaniac about to start beating up his house because he could not get his way. Leif was beginning to see why Aava had grown so concerned in the last battle as these fights were definitely bringing Damien back to proper consciousness. I know, I haven't done much with her, but she is a leading expert on Reality Errors and the "main character" of the Reality Error expedition drawings . Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      Mind-Wraith and Aava were expecting a tense battle where they would have to stay on their toes to maintain an advantage against Damien, but that is not quite what had happened. In reality it was primarily a one-sided affair with Leif on the offensive and overwhelming Damien despite being at only about half of his true power (and even then he was still lacking). In the rocky valley leading to the biggest cave of the gorge, Leif hounded Damien and barely gave the decaying knight a chance to breathe. Leif’s weapon of choice was what looked like an executioner's axe with a handle length roughly around the size of one for woodcutting. It was an inelegant weapon, but the heavy and reckless slams of the head indicated that Leif had too much pent up frustration to care.      With a roar and strain to extend the weapon, Leif pulled on both ends of the weapon and expanded the axe into a halberd and became a grea...

Anyways, let's get into some more lore. Check out Ferdi's art from yesterday, as we're still in The Trench Unlight. - - - - -      The ar'ton are a strange group of higher dimensional energy beings. Occupying the dimensions 10 through 13, they are ancient and can't quite remember their origin. What can be remembered is that they were most likely descendants of the Astral Entities, the higher dimensional denizens of the Outer Void and Dream Realm. This makes them alien to the Cosmos Proper as they did not originate from God.
