Haze & Chaos - Special 2

The Hunt | Introduction | Uncertainty Master Post - Patreon      “You think you’re good to go, Boyo?” Sam asked as she made sure his uniform was nice and tidy. They were standing outside Conference Room 1A at M.A.I.G. headquarters.      Will adjusted his coat and dusted himself off. “Yeah, I should be good to go… still loaded with anxiety though…”      “Not for the big squad meeting I trust?” she inquired with a chuckle.      “Specialist Ford, glad to see you again,” Marcus announced as he walked up. “Are you feeling better?”      “Colonel Trelawney, sir–Yeah, I’m doing better. Head’s clear, for the most part.”      “Colonel, sir,” Sam said with a salute. “Boyo’s been having more weird dreams as of late…”      Marcus was not an expert on dreams, but he had a strange feeling given some of the topics and realms his organization was interested in. “Is it something we at GRENAD...

Haze & Chaos - The Hunt Part 15

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL US THERE WAS KIDS ABOARD YOU PIECE OF SHIT?!!!” Will screamed as he tried to punch and hit General Aalders, with Antares and Adrien needing to wrestle him off of their commanding officer. Aalders did not fight back, rather he braced himself and waited for Will to be pulled away.      “AMIGO, CALM DOWN,” Adrien ordered. “Just what the demonios are you referring to?” Will looked too angry to acknowledge his question.      Aalders took a breath to settle his nerves and quietly picked up the papers that had been scattered across the briefing room floor. Some of the other officers present offered to help, but he had already cleaned things up. Knowing the conversation could get personal, he sent them away to take care of other matters. “Will, where did you just come from?”      “Götterdämmerung,” he answered, his anger subsiding to a calmer state so as not...

Haze & Chaos - The Hunt Part 14

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      Stepping aboard Götterdämmerung was like walking into a stranger’s house with the crushing dread of being utterly embarrassed looming over Will’s head, albeit it was something beyond that. It was not a feeling that he was in danger, rather it was like he had walked into a completely different world. The zeppelin was quite big on the inside, with it making use of arcane technology to keep it afloat and cut down on the amount of machinery needed to fly. Looking around, one could see all of the hallmarks of Wotanism, and there were many paintings, sculptures, and artifacts depicting or referencing the legendary events of Norse mythology. Statues of the Aesir and related animals loomed overhead along the walls, and the details etched into the metal of the doorways and railings were second to none for their intricate quality.      Will further searched for any signs of Sebastian’s old fascist alignments, bu...

Haze & Chaos - The Hunt Part 13

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      “Geez, Dad–we leave you alone for two minutes…” Ignatius said as he tapped his foot with his hands on his hips. Barry had gone and retrieved some backup from The ULTRAMagic Guild, further consisting of Ludwig and Rostislav.      “What can I say, son?” Will said with hands up as Mayhem demerged from him. He glanced around at the battlefield, noting that not much had been harmed as the clean-up crew took care of the dead nephilim. “That’s just the way the cookie crumbles.”      “Well done, Specialist,” Ludwig said as he gave a respectful applause. “Definitely a vast improvement since Dust Gullet Gulch.”      Rostislav then took Will by the shoulders with his arm and swung him around a little. “Kicking ass, Will, no two ways about it!”      “Thanks, guys,” Will said with a chuckle. “Oh, have you all met Jun yet?” Will inquired as he indicated for Jun to walk...
