The ACF-100 incident marks a turning point in The League’s conflict with The Eternal Order, The Extinction Order, and The Profane Alliance–it fundamentally altered the way The League viewed the nature of existence itself, even for its higher-dimensional members. The incident also altered the conflict as a whole, creating ripples throughout time and space whose ramifications are still being discovered to this day. Under orders from 05-Red Command of The Anomaly Containment Foundation (The ACF), the following information has been cleared to be released in this document. The following will detail information surrounding the conflicts that occurred because of the incident and in relation to the ongoing war against The Lost Darkness God and Surtr within Universe-23 and Inferno-23.
The earliest official date attributed to The ACF-100 Incident was 1979 (Cycle 757 for Inferno) when the demon Zaem Tah reported to Sirius Fractal of The ACF that The Nephilim who calls himself Satan (who henceforth shall be referred to as “Satan”) was discovered working with a previously unknown rogue god to facilitate his “Nephilim Jailbreaks.” This god could not be identified, even by such experts as The Madman of Old (a primordial famous for his rogue god hunts) and The Virus God (a god of ideas and memes, famous for his explorations of Threrth’s Cosmos). The first nephilim jailbreak already saw signs of influence, being observed in the arrival of The Three Infernal Bishops–who were tasked with guarding the lowest layers of Inferno at the behest of their father, someone they referred to as “The Dead God.” Through the combined efforts of Bileth’s War on Evil and The Three Bishops, the first Nephilim Jailbreak would be stopped and prevented from making its way to Earth, leading to the acquisition of knowledge and strength to stop all ensuing jailbreaks.
The nephilim are truly dangerous entities, born from the blasphemous unions of man and angel during The Mt. Hermon Incident (detailed in The Dead Sea Scrolls, accuracy notwithstanding). Angels were not meant to mingle amongst mortals, much like how the gods are not meant to mingle in the sphere of Man–but the gods typically do not interfere with the natural order beyond the scope of their duties. Nephilim had the corporeal form of their human parents, but the incorporeal powers of their angelic parents. They became incredibly dangerous right out of the gate due to being inherently powerful and perceptive to paranormal and supernatural entities. The rogue archdemon Baal often takes credit for the seduction of the Watcher Angels that descended to Earth from Mt. Hermon amongst other infamous figures, but the true culprits have long since been discovered to be The Crimson God and The Running God of The Eternal Order. While this interference had a cascade effect across the Cosmos, the blame cannot be laid solely at their feet. Karnage Dethgrave at the behest of The Lost Darkness God and Surtr were discovered to be the true masterminds. It should be noted that Karnage has long since been expelled from The Eternal Order following his horrific failure in The Tyrant War.
Nephilim typically appear as giants with the traits of dragons and ogres, and their magic is almost always malformed and abhorrent. They are immature brutes who become selfish and conceited, enraptured by the mythology of the birth–believing they are the next step in human evolution. Despite this, some have embarked on the path of light. Notably during the Mt. Hermon incident there was a group of nephilim who fought to destroy The Great Engine, and these nephilim would go on to become some of the titans and Olympians of Greek legend. Notable descendants of these nephilim are Zeus, Hera, Heracles, Jupiter, The Minotaur, Ares, Demeter, Apollo, Artemis, and Dionysus. Notably the majority of the titans were the reincarnation of a legion primordial named The Titan of Old–born from the shattering of an unknown hermetic god. Many went unnamed upon reincarnating into the modern era of the Cosmos, but they were pivotal in keeping their descendants in line.
The potential for the nephilim to become evil is best seen in Satan, a foul nephilim who from the start sought to conquer all that he saw in the name of a rule of brutality, blood, and glory. He rallied his brethren and used their irreverence to create The Great Engine in an attempt to harness the power of angels in a further attempt to kickstart his conquest. He nearly succeeded given that the angel Semyaza pledged his support to the project, but this was foiled when Azzazel intervened. The failed test on Bezaliel had secretly given Satan the data he needed to make The Great Engine more potent and focused–information he shared with Semyaza… who he failed to realize had been seduced by another. This other individual was Mephistopheles–an infamous, primeval demon from the depths of Inferno. He was notorious for his scheming and cunning, and had joined The Eternal Order, idolizing The Sepulcher God and his desire to protect the Cosmos so it could be the best it could be. Mephistopheles was the one who relayed the corrupting words of The Crimson God and The Running God to the Watcher Angels, as The Running God had foreseen the problems the future Profane Alliance would cause for The Eternal Order and wanted to engineer Satan’s downfall.
Semyaza was skeptical of Mephistopheles and The Running God, but The Running God promised the angel he would actually achieve greatness with The Eternal Order–So he began egging Satan on and on, pushing him into more and more extreme experiments that would prompt an aggressive response from both Azzazel and Heaven. The Sepulcher God was elucidated as to what was going on by The Running God, who also had relayed his suspicions towards Karnage’s motives. Needing to act quickly and quietly, The Sepulcher God designated Semyaza and Mephistopheles as double agents who would “join” Satan and pretend to be his allies–all the while providing intel on Satan and sabotaging him whenever need be. It should be noted that The Sepulcher God had grown weary of Karnage by the time of the modern phase of the Cosmos and was growing wise to his scheming. The only reason he did not expel him immediately was because he still saw use in Karnage.
The traitor angels and nephilim were imprisoned in the depths of Inferno in the hopes that the eldritch demons of the deepest layers would take them out. This did not happen, requiring the demon kings Asmodeus and Corniger to stand guard and make sure the foul wastels did not escape into the upper layers of Inferno. Something the two kings did not account for were Earth Spirits (discussed in The Sworn Book of Honorius, accuracy notwithstanding) and how Satan used them to spread lies and terror on Earth. These foul spirits that sink to the depths of the spirit evolution hierarchy could be deployed to mess with humans and distract the Infernal Council of Order, allowing Satan to begin working on his plans for jailbreaks. Semyaza warned The Running God of this, but he allowed it to proceed, as he and Mephistopheles saw the potential in letting Satan’s arrogance and ego inflate. It should be noted that Earth Spirits are not exclusive to Inferno, but can be easily found there.
The first signs of trouble in regards to Satan and his jailbreaks was actually during World War II. Spiritus Lapsus Hecate had been steadily losing her power due to betraying the Spiritus Magni, but something had gone wrong with her and she found her power draining at an accelerated rate at the start of the 1900s. In a panic she joined the at-the-time secret Profane Alliance, which consisted of Satan, Baal, and Mephistopheles. They told her to build a coven or warlocks that she would come to call “The Sons of Hecate,” with their plan being to merge them with the foul Death Knell coven–another coven of warlocks Karnage had been workshopping so he could gain a foothold on Earth (amongst a myriad of other schemes). It should be noted that Inferno functions on non-linear time, meaning people in both realms can contact each other at different points in time. Not only can this be difficult to comprehend, it also adds a layer of extreme danger to the conflict as a whole.
On the run from the traitor-Spiritus Magni Fausta, Hecate recruited Demeter and began working to build up The Sons of Hecate. Their goal was to create the strongest mages possible, then join up with The Death Knell Coven to sack Europe and take control of Earth. The start of the plan was to take a girl they had enslaved and infuse her with a powerful dragon, then hand her off to the Nazis so they could gain access to their resources, but this was foiled on multiple fronts. Kit Llewellyn, Charron Maddox, and Dieterich Bauer of the early League were able to inform President Franklin Roosevelt of to what the Nazis were up to, which led to the deployment of The German Anomaly Investigation Group (G.A.I.G.) to stop The Sons of Hecate. Vlad III Dracula in his quest to rescue Fausta also greatly disrupted everything for Karnage and Hecate, compounded by Ellen Corcoran and The Devil’s Brew Coven busting up various Axis covens across Europe. Furthermore, The Running God had quietly deployed The President God (and his voidcaller, Neb–The Cyber Demon) to deal with The Sons of Hecate behind the scenes. It is widely believed that these failures emboldened Satan, leading to the start of The Nephilim Jailbreaks.
As stated previously, the first Nephilim Jailbreak in 1979 (Cycle 757) was stopped by the efforts of the War on Evil and The Three Infernal Bishops, but that was not going to stop Satan. 4 years later during 1983 (Cycle 801), Satan would attempt his second jailbreak (with help from The Dead God) with an army of nephilim and demons that had betrayed Inferno as a whole. The Dead God had been showing Satan who to recruit and seduce, leading to him even making physical, in-person contact with The Extinction Order. This was deemed the worst case scenario whose full ramifications are still not known… except this quickly became known to The League. Natas had declared war on Satan and was having trouble figuring out how Satan was able to get away with so much… until an odd entity came to him and relayed all that he could. This was The Dead God, who stated he was “just getting started.”
The Nephilim Army, despite breaking out of the lower layers of Inferno in 1983, went back to Earth in 1980 to begin their invasion. They expected Earth to be caught off guard, but were taken by surprise when The League was ready for them. This secret war, known as “The Jailbreak War,” saw the creation of The Red Order–an organization formed by Vlad III Dracula and Fausta to deal with such threats for The League. Allied with the Magic Anomaly Investigation Group (M.A.I.G.), the recently formed GRENADIER, and the burgeoning Briggs Brigade (which would become to be known as “The Liger Brigade” in the future); The League fought back against Satan and his army behind the scenes. The ACF would also provide any support they could, working to understand the machinations of Satan’s army.
By 1984 Satan had been driven back to the 9th and 10th layers of Inferno, but The Extinction Order had benefited greatly from the conflict, using their newfound knowledge and resources to begin mass producing nephilim DNA and forming their “satanic” agenda and ideology from the delusions Satan and Baal had filled their heads with. Despite the highs of the apparent success, Hecate and Demeter could see an issue that would destroy The Extinction Order: Sebastian Rainer Friedrich III. Sebastian was not impressed with Satan’s efforts and saw The Extinction Order as vile subhumans who had no place in his new world order. He began to systematically wipe them out, taking their money and assets to create The Eternal Order–which would send ripples out through time and space because of The Dead God’s interference, which would lead to The Sepulcher God calling his alliance “The Eternal Order,” which would inspire Gudrun Holzknecht to take the The Thundering Order of ancient Feuerland and convert it into another branch of The Eternal Order (which eventually gave rise to The Eternal Church in Shadowland), which would further inspire Sebastian to create “The Eternal Order” on Earth. This temporal paradox is considered one of the most dangerous in the history of The Cosmos.
Sebastian’s actions caused The Extinction Order to go into a panicked frenzy, leading them to start attacking any ally of The League indiscriminately. They also began messing with the world’s economy to “spite Sebastian and make an example out of him,” but this only galvanized Sebastian’s ambitions and strengthened his beliefs that The Extinction Order was a threat to his idea of a new world order. This in turn strengthened the zeal of The Extinction Order, causing them to accelerate their plans to establish their new world order. Feeling particularly cruel that day, Karnage ordered Sebastian to take out The Extinction Order with extreme prejudice. The Extinction Order had not failed Karnage–he merely took joy in seeing them squirm.
While his choice of allies were limited, Sebastian gathered the following: Anne Vozenilek, Laurence Duckenfield, Judge Bauzenthrau Holten, and Jupp Parche. Laurence Duckenfield was an infamous British MP that was reviled for his authoritarian disposition and corruption–going on record saying he believed things like borstals were ideal for society and declaring he would bring them back one day and reincarcerate all former inmates, alive or dead. He still holds these repugnant views in the modern day, and they are believed to be derived from his father, Harbor Duckenfield, who was known for his corruption and hypocrisy. Bauzenthrau Holten was a sadistic, criminal vigilante who fancied himself as a judge. Hailing from a degenerate, run down neighborhood, Bauzenthrau was not raised properly and grew to take joy from inflicting pain through his perverted sense of justice. Jupp Parche was a corrupt cop whose greed led him to taking bribes left and right, and protecting snitches as long as they paid him–leading a life of lies that he was one of the greatest cops ever. The only one out of this group Sebastian and Anne saw any remote value in was Laurence, with them planning to get rid of Bauzenthrau and Jupp at some point in the near future.
Another amongst Sebastian’s ranks who remained on the quiet side was Valentin Karppinen. Valentin never really worked with Sebastian given his secret quest for revenge, but used the chaos to field test his newest creation: The Xanthous King. Valentin had started work on The Xanthous King in 1982 with help from Vlad IV Dracul, Morana Dracul, Ernust Brantley, and The Yellow King. The lattermost required Valentin to journey to Lost Carcosa and strike a deal with the strange monarch, in which The Yellow King would give Valentin the knowledge of how to bind 50 wicked souls into a powerful, gestalt entity–in return for a favor that The Yellow King would not reveal until the time was right. In 1984 Valentin had finished his creation and set it to work killing members of The Extinction Order, notably ones that had infused themselves with Nephilim DNA in order to prepare The Xanthous King to take on Sebastian.
Valentin was not the only one to create a living super weapon during this time. Victor Frankenstein of The League had begun work on a monstrous woman (who he would name “Raisa”) at the behest of his void patron, The Acid God–who had grown fearful of the escalating conflicts between The League and The Extinction Order. The Acid God had also received a push from The Running God, given that he was a former member of The Eternal Order. The Sepulcher God saw an opportunity to get The Extinction Order and Profane Alliance under control, leading to Victor receiving the inspiration to create Raisa–starting work on her in 1974, thanks to funding from Kit Llewellyn. The idea was to take nephilim DNA and create a lifeform that could adapt to any situation. Finished in 1984, Raisa was ready to be deployed and fight back against The Extinction Order.
A major issue plaguing The League with the newest conflict was that they had no idea where the members of The Extinction Order were, rendering their efforts hindered. Powerful magic from The Crimson God was used to hide them, but in 1985 The Amazing Nosmirc had come along and undid the magic, making it so that The Extinction Order members were effectively out in the open. With The League able to meaningfully tackle the threat of The Extinction Order, and Sebastian and Valentin thinning their numbers greatly, Satan figured it was time to send in some backup. The foul, abhorrent Moloch was deployed. This malignant, child-devouring demon with the head of a bull had become infected with a pre-ontological disease known as “The Lost Hunger,” making the monster incredibly ferocious and voracious. Moloch was a screaming, thrashing beast whose foul breath of flame and putrescence destroyed everything in sight, and was a force to be reckoned with–his ballistic rage defiling the cosmos with its mere presence. Any civilian unfortunate enough to witness the atrocity was killed from sheer horror and terror. Semyaza and Mephistopheles were panicking as Moloch was destroying everything, and this became even worse when the abyss-corroded Bezaliel appeared to defend humanity from Moloch.
Heaven was put into high alert and tasked the Archangel Raguel with dealing with the growing emergency. He called upon two angels of rage, Af and Hemah–brothers who were some of the best warriors in Heaven–who would be joined by Azzazel and Semyaza. The chaos of the ensuing battles summoned War–The Red Horseman, as he was sure his fellow horsemen would wake up given the carnage of the fighting. While War loved seeing a good fight, he conceded that the war between The League and Extinction Order would not end well if he did not intervene. The last ones to join the conflict on the side of The League were Susanno no Mikoto, Sun Wukong–The Great Sage Equal To Heaven, and Paul Bunyan. Susanno was originally The Lost Storm God during The Lost Era and recognized The Lost Hunger immediately. Together with the start of his alliance known as The Celestial Dragons–consisting of the great and powerful monkey king, and the giant who was the reincarnation of The Lumberjack of Old, the three charged in to hopefully get the conflict under control and banish Moloch.
The Xanthous King and Raisa had originally been fighting each other, but had to refocus their efforts when Moloch got involved and Bezaliel began fighting with the demon. While Moloch became the primary focus of Bezaliel, the real reason the corroded angel had appeared was because The Extinction Order had attempted to rebuild The Great Engine in 1985 to fight back against Sebastian and regain control of the conflict. Hecate and Demeter could see the writing on the wall of how badly the war was going to end, and took a cadre of The Extinction Order into hiding where they would operate in the shadows until such a time where they could safely reemerge. “The Extinction War” was now in full swing, and Earth was on the brink of utter annihilation every second–which by some miracle both sides were able to keep a secret from the general public… barely.
1986 saw the conflict hit a fever pitch, nearly reaching the attention of the American public and putting humanity at great risk. It had turned into a free-for-all between Moloch, Bezaliel, The Xanthous King, and Raisa–with The League and the angels quickly losing control given Sebastian’s continued crusade against the members of The Extinction Order who had not gone into hiding. Delphine–The Discordant God of Desire threw her hat into the ring, wanting to get Raisa out of there before she destroyed herself from her power growing too great (stemming from growing familial affection towards her). Karnage, working to not be found out by Wulfric–The Discordant God of War, had orchestrated a campaign of havoc in the Realm of Chaos by The Eternal Church (prior to the defeat of the church at the hands of Prince Barna and Queen Dunja), which only served to ramp up suspicion amongst The Discordant Gods of Chaos and The Arbiters of Droom. Delphine was unable to figure out what was going on, but she was able to help get things under control.
Paul Bunyan would begin to start driving Moloch away, using Bezaliel’s rage in his favor. The Hail Mary that saved The League and Earth was ultimately Nosmirc’s intervention, however. Cashing in another favor with Zarthar-Garthar–the Iron Singularity, Nosmirc had him seal Moloch away in the lowest layer of Inferno–The Abyssal Nexus–where he would hopefully be slowly corroded. With Moloch gone, Raisa and The Xanthous King focused on Bezaliel–but Delphine would take Raisa away to The Realm of Chaos with help from Af and Hemah. Semyaza and Mephistopheles would work on distracting Valentin so The Xanthous King would pull out of the conflict. With all of the aggressors gone and the 2nd Great Engine destroyed, Susanno, Sun Wukong, and War could focus on quelling Bezaliel’s rage and took him to The Abyssal Gulf where he would be looked after by The Abyssal Lord and The God of Death. Baal had been present in the battles, but he was driven away by Azzazel with ease–notably this was helped by The Xanthous King who had inexplicably begun targeting Baal…
The Extinction Order was done yet, however–with dwindling power, they made one last desperate attempt to fight back in 1987 by attempting to crash America's stock market once and for all. This enraged Sebastian, his patience for The Extinction Order having truly and finally run out. Together with his allies he killed the last of the public members of The Extinction Order, but this put him on the map for The Red Order. Dracula and Fausta went all out on the alliance–with Dracula impaling Bauzenthrau on a stake, and Fausta banishing Jupp to the Abyssal Dungeon where he would eventually corrode into a withered husk of man. Laurence would escape this battle, but would be shunned by Sebastian for his cowardice, which would lead to Laurence sucking up to The Profane Alliance. This victory by The Red Order is widely agreed to be the official end of The Extinction War.
Several notable individuals associated with The Eternal Order and The Profane Alliance were not involved in The Jailbreak war and The Extinction War. Ernust Brantley, a close friend of Sebastian, elected to stay out of the conflict and work on Sebastian’s other plans while pursuing his own agenda. Notably he is known to make sure Sebastian does not become too power hungry, and slips information to Valentin from time to time. Wendelin Kiefer, known for his association with Sebastian during World War II, was working towards rebuilding The Death Knell Coven after Neb and The President God had ransacked it so it could be used by Sebastian in the future. The Earl Profane was preoccupied causing trouble for ENCOM in Universe-XT49. And while Mephistopheles was involved, he had left the conflict multiple times to check on Earth-231218 to oversee the growing conflict with Audoin Dethbrand. Following Karnage’s failure in The Tyrant War, Mephistopheles would head to Universe-231218 secure an important artifact for Anton Bloodthresher, using the excuse that he was bringing in Sebastian and Anne to The Audoan Wars to provide reinforcements as a cover story.
Hecate and Demeter were not quite done yet, as in 1988 they began heavy research into Moloch and the failed 2nd Great Engine for a wide variety of projects of which most are still unknown to this day. The ones that have been discovered are The XTRON Virus and Fool’s Stones, both which hold grave implications for the ongoing conflict. Vlad IV Dracul notably started pursuing these subjects, seeing various degrees of success over the years, but also turning him into a target for Hecate and Demeter. In 1989 Hecate attempted to have ATSW-444 “Planet 9” enter the solar system and infect Earth with a wave of madness. The Dead God had long since been put into a time out by a similar entity known as The Wonderful Gentleman, but the latter allowed the former to warn The League. IGSE-333 “Tartarus” was given the heads-up, and rallied Planet X “Nibiru,” The Comet Dragon, and The Void Eater to repel Planet 9 and hold it off for a while afterwards.
Throughout this conflict there was a member of M.A.I.G. who observed the entire incident and made notes of it as a motivation to find a way to help fight the good fight. This man was Russell Clifton Ripper, who was working a desk job at the time. He knew he could not just sit around anymore after seeing the havoc that was caused, and began climbing the ladder so-to-speak so he could make his way into politics. His goal was to get a foot in the door in the U.S. government, which was supported by General Lundberg and Dr. Reynard Woodall. Russel was not sure what his target was, but after seeing the difficulties The Briggs Brigade was going through, he knew what he had to do. He would rise to power as a senator so he could advocate for them receiving official support from the government. It took a long time and a lot of money, but in the 2010s he became a senator of New Hampshire. He had to bide his time and keep quiet during the mayhem-inducing Hector Fang administration of the early 2020s, but The Red River City Incident was just what he needed to prove that The Briggs Brigade (now named “The Liger Brigade”) were true American heroes, and that America needed them now more than ever–successfully securing official support and funding for them. Rumor has it that President Abel Donovan is looking to make Senator Ripper his new Vice President after having to fire and arrest his previous one…
The ACF-100 Incident is one of the most devastating events in ACF history, and possibly the world’s history. It made it clear that there was life well beyond the Cosmos, and even the 13th dimension–raising unsettling implications for existence itself. The incident also sent ripples throughout all of time and space, of whose ramifications may never be fully known. Making this situation worse is that nothing could be meaningfully learned or gained. Any and all knowledge about The Dead God only raises more questions, not to mention the discoveries made because of his meddling. The only thing The League can do is roll with the punches and adapt on the fly. The Dead God is only the tip of the iceberg, as many more secrets and eldritch truths lurk in the depths of The Outer Void and beyond–and whether or not Earth is safe is well and truly beyond us.
