The Spheres

It is indicative of ignorance to assume that the Major Abstract is the end of the cosmology. It is truly unknown to us how many realms go beyond the scream. What we do know is that there is an endpoint to the Cosmos, thanks to the knowledge of Hermes Trismegistus. The Spheres are the origin of everything and are a series of realms everyone returns to at some point or another. Knowledge of these realms is limited, however. They require Nous and the achievement of Gnosis to be comprehended and understood. Even then, interpretations of the spheres tend to vary from person to person, until they return to said spheres.

The Ogdoad (8th Sphere)

The Ogdoad is the sphere in which souls reside, particularly before they descend into the Cosmos. The Cosmos is regarded as everything beneath the Spheres. Here Souls prepare themselves for the journey ahead of them. It is the lowest Sphere, bordering the Cosmos. Note that Souls do not return to the Ogdoad as it was meant to be a transitional realm. There are Souls that get cold feet and get stuck there, however. This is all because of the fact that you cannot go to the Ennead from the Ogdoad.

The Ennead (9th Sphere)

The Ennead is what all Souls return to when their journey is complete. This sphere is the home of Nous and lies between the Ogdoad and The Source. When the Soul is in the Cosmos and at the end of their incarnation, it will return to a metaphysical realm such as Heaven, Inferno, Purgatory, etc. This micro cycle repeats until parts of the Cosmos begin to contract. A densely packed realm is inhospitable to the vast majority of beings, so this is a good time to return to the Ennead. Even though all realms experience time differently, All of the conventional realms contract at around the same time.

Souls that do not return to the Ennead end up in an interesting situation. Ultimately when you return to the Ennead is up to you. The majority of Souls that do not return end up degenerating into lowly Earth spirits. A select few use the extra time to advance themselves. If a particularly dedicated Soul decided to become 6th dimensional and then return to the Ennead, they would be 6th dimensional by default in all future iterations/cycles. Ultimately it does not matter what state you are in: You can always return to the Ennead. Even if you were erased from existence, you would return to the Prima Materia and be reconstituted in the Ennead. You would then head off to the Ogdoad to get ready for your next journey.

An interesting anomaly in regards to this cycle are 0 Dimensionals and 1st Dimensionals. They break the cycle and the rules, to an extent. The Ennead is easiest to access when the realms are contracting, but these entities can go to the Ennead whenever they please. They can also pass through the Ogdoad, scot-free. This does not mean they can bring “lower dimensional” forms (e.g. Man) there or enter The Source freely, however. Regardless of their current state, they are still subject to God at the end of the day.

The Source (10th Sphere)

The Source is the Light. It is the Supreme Good. It is God. Given past mentions of Adonai, a distinction is required. The entity we know as “Adonai” is a 10th dimensional emanation of God. He exists so we have something to wrap our minds around and so God can experience what we go through. Despite his magnificence, God is not perfect. It is why we exist in the first place: If things were perfect, there would be no reason to exist.

Some Souls get to a point where they can rejoin God in The Source. These Souls are referred to as “Gods,” but not God. Usually these gods have become content and wish to be with God again. A select few will get bored and descend into the Cosmos from time to time. An important thing to observe is that God and the gods can forgive all transgressions, except for one: Irreverence. Those that are uncaring and disrespectful towards God’s creations will be judged upon returning to the Ennead. What the punishment is is unclear. It is nothing severe, but it is also something not talked about.

Lastly, to clear up a misconception, did God create Evil? No. God created everything, but Evil is something that just happens. Life would be pointless if nothing opposed us. Consider that Evil is the result of ignorance. Ignorance leads to fear, fear creates desperation, desperation begets arrogance, and arrogance ends in Evil. Everyone has a Soul, but intellect and Nous must be sought out. You are not born with Nous. It is your responsibility to learn, better yourself, and avoid falling into fear and eventually Evil.
