The Red Man?
Who is The Red Man?
This is fairly random, but an entity manifested within the narrative of UMAE and I had to introduce him to you guys. This is The Red Man, a memetic narrative wildcard. Just what do we have on our hands?

In the chaos of the Cosmos and the iterations of universe's past, Iteration 3 of Universe-23 saw the persistence of a demon named Dorian Lysere. Dorian was the COO of a company that had taken over the world, but alas Dorian's iteration had come to an end. In the final years of Universe-23-3, Dorian noticed something odd. There was an entity running around the tower of his company, causing trouble, but not being disruptive. This required investigation and what Dorian found out chilled him to the bone.
The Red Man was an entity that was not supposed to exist in his universe, nor the narrative of his universe. Originally considered a narrative parasite, It was found out that The Red Man merely wanted to have fun and observe, leading to his reclassification as a "Narrative Wildcard." His means of spreading to narratives through people knowing about him added "memetic" to his classification. Eventually Dorian left his iteration to reunite with the CEO of his company and The Red Man followed him.
The Red Man began spreading throughout the narratives of the current iteration of Universe-23, even spreading to Universe-15. The ACF, The Liger Brigade, and M.A.I.G. of both universes were quick to notice him. Panicking over his spread and inability to contain him, two rogue Gods stepped in to help out. These would be The Shadow God and The Virus God, two friends of the late Tyrant God.
The two gods would invite The Red Man to hang out with them, with The Virus God being interested in particular as he saw potential in The Red Man being able to help stop The Sepulcher God and get into Threrth's Cosmos to observe it.

Yes, that lore is in line with modern canon. Also here are some things to note about The Red Man, if you like what you see:
- The Red Man can appear in your narratives if you know about him. He will behave himself and follow the rules, but I cannot guarantee what he will do.
- You cannot get rid of The Red Man, but this is not a problem as he is just there to observe.
- The Red Man can take on any property or rules within your narrative. How you handle his presence is completely up to you.
- The Red Man views ideas and narratives as an all-you-can-eat buffet. His home is ULTRAMagic Alternate, where he has an infinite source of food.
- The Red Man enjoys sampling media of all types, making friends, and learning all he can about the Cosmos. He's also friendly, well-mannered, and likes jokes and pranks.
This is some of the most unhinged lore I have ever typed/written.
Now here's the important part: What permissions do you have if you decide to include The Red Man in your work?
I hereby grant you permission to include The Red Man in your work be it non-commercial or commercial. Given his memetic nature it's only fitting that I don't limit his travel to one type of media. Please note the following:
- You don't actually have to include The Red Man if you know about him. He's very polite and will respect your boundaries. I mean, he has no reason to disrespect you as there are so many stories out there.
- The Red Man was created by me and ultimately belongs to ULTRAMagic Alternate. I am the sole source of canon for ULTRAMagic Alternate and you may not dictate what happens in UMAE. This is also what grants him his narrative invincibility outside of UMAE. You may not declare changes to his story within ULTRAMagic Alternate.
- With the above said, you can make a story based on The Red Man outside of UMAE, but it may not have any bearing on UMAE.
- The Red Man may reference stories he's visited in ULTRAMagic Alternate, but these references will be left vague to respect the copyright of the material being referenced.
- These permissions do not extend to other characters or aspects of ULTRAMagic Alternate, just The Red Man... although I have considered extending this to The Virus God, given his nature. For now, it's just The Red Man. Obviously you can reference the lore of UMAE as you have to if you include The Red Man in your work. Basically he can reference a character like Dorian or Lord Anti, you just can't use those two in your work without my permission.
- You may not claim The Red Man as your own. If you feel inclined to do so, make an OC based on The Red Man.
- ULTRAMagic Alternate has no bearing on your work if you are concerned about maintaining canon or brand recognition. Your work also does not affect The Red Man's story in ULTRAMagic Alternate.
- The Red Man is a higher dimensional entity that typically does not take sides in Earth-centric/Earth-specific conflicts. He's not left wing, right wing, up wing, down wing, diagonal wing, so long and thanks for all the fish-wing, he's just The Red Man. This even applies to ULTRAMagic Alternate, as he is more focused on helping The Virus God and Lord Anti in that series.
- The Red Man does like checking out the media of whatever world he visits, however.
- Whose side is The Red Man on? Given his role in ULTRAMagic Alternate, he is on the side of "good." He is a good-natured entity, but he doesn't mind playing the role of the villain if you are so inclined. Just keep in mind that he is not a killer. Killing characters in stories would go against his desire to travel and feed on as many stories as he can.
- How would your characters react to The Red Man? That is up to you as you know your characters better than I do.
- I reserve the right to update these rules as I see fit.
