Introduction
Fool’s Stones are a dangerous subject to discuss given that they are steeped in the secrecy, lies, and the degeneracy of The Extinction Order and the foul rich elite they court. Highly coveted and sought after, these dangerous anomalies only serve to corrupt those who pursue them. What many do not realize is that they have a more esoteric origin going back to the creation of The Cosmos itself. And the chaos spawned from this origin in question has greatly shaped the conflict between The League and The Lost Darkness, with barely anyone realizing it. The depths of eldritch knowledge that can be gained from learning about Fool’s Stones are near fathomless, and risk the sanity of the seeker themselves. Funnily enough it is questionable if the knowledge is even worth seeking in the first place, as it is rooted in lies… lies that helped shape the Cosmos into what it is today.
What are Fool’s Stones?
Fool’s Stones are what can best be described as fake Philosopher's Stones. At first they appear as the familiar red, crystalline stones, but upon further inspection reveals a black, spiritually corrosive substance inside the stone. This sludge is not Azoth, but some form of base matter that instills madness in the soul. These stones are often seen amongst The Extinction Order and the rich elite, as they believe they have an actual Philosopher's Stone and eternal life. Many of these people are either delusional or in denial, and will swear upon their life that they have the real thing. These stones are often provided by Earth Spirits, unscrupulous demons, or even The Profane Alliance.
The sludge, when consumed, does not provide eternal life. It extends one’s life, but that is not entirely accurate – it extends one’s life, but does not provide any youth or longevity. It also damages the brain and destroys the soul over time. Fool’s Stones are often linked to the illegal drug trade, but are only ever seen amongst the elite. The rare horror stories of unknown or designer drugs that leak to the public are indicative of Fool’s Stones and similar substances that are kept out of the public eye. The elite are diligent gatekeepers, however, going so far as to assassinate any commoner that gets their hands on these substances, making the death look like a tragic accident and quashing all attempts to investigate the incident in question. Interestingly, the sludge can be refined into a proper Philosopher's Stone or gold when subjected to the seven step process.
Fool’s Stones would have been a footnote in the conflict between Raziel and The Lost Darkness God had they not been utilized by The Profane Alliance, specifically the Hecate of Universe-23. Hecate and Baal had begun plotting to wipe out humanity in the name of the agenda of The Profane Alliance, and Hecate was noteworthy for trying to use the sludge of Fool’s Stones in concoctions that the world’s governments would force upon the masses, even at gunpoint if they had to. Hecate even attempted to test these schemes in other universes, but failed miserably in each one on account of her hubris. Universe-23 would have been the launching point for this scheme had the reviled Hector Fang not been taken out by General Lundberg. This created a massive rift between The Profane Alliance and The Eternal Order, which would see the latter completely abandon all support and allegiance for the former once and for all.
President Abel Donovan, a member of The League who was actually supposed to win the United States 2020 election in Universe-23, had a lot of work on his hands in order to start fighting back against The Extinction Order, then The Profane Alliance. The Eternal Order was originally on his radar, but interesting developments at the time caused him to rethink his priorities in regards to the matter. Abel’s biggest move in 2024 was to expose the cabal of elites that were in league with The Extinction Order and Profane Alliance, with the biggest concentration of them being in California, specifically “Hollywood” (as a result of Sebastian Friedrich III’s purge of The Extinction Order during The ACF-100 Incident). This duty would be left to Abel’s vice president, a former corporate CEO who claimed to be for the people, all-American, and wanted to make the country great again. In reality he was in the pockets of The Extinction Order, and completely failed to release the intended files about the cabal, destroyed them, and instead released “The UFO Files,” which created a massive security breach for The Men In Black that The League had to scramble to stop.
The Hollywood Files were the result of an underground movement of hacktivists and bounty hunters releasing a collection of documents that served to expose the rich elite and The Extinction Order as the scoundrels they were. Anything that was released by the vice president that had not been destroyed was heavily censored and redacted, and only served to relay information that was already publicly available or known. It was so bad that there were entire documents that were nothing but black bars, or even just page-spanning rectangles of black. Abel’s actions were swift and brutal: The vice president was fired, put on trial, and given life in prison for his treachery. There are even rumors that General Lundberg plans to go in when no one is looking and shoot the former vice president dead, but it is most likely that he will only do this if he is truly angry. General Lundberg was once The General of Old, so it is safe to say he has no patience for The Lost Darkness God and his ilk – especially considering that the former vice president had ties to Karnage Dethgrave.
A group of bounty hunters led by Anker Fortuyn and Helkern, accompanied by The Blood God, would lead the charge in releasing The Hollywood Files, leading to the rich elite and Hollywood starting mass-scale riots all over the western seaboard. Activists and radicals were whipped into a frenzy, and took to the streets destroying all institutions in sight. The elites would promise these rioters salvation and a paradise where they could be hunters in the morning and painters by night, but in reality this was an attempt at petty retaliation by The Extinction Order. This attempt at an “uprising” was a rogue action taken against the orders of Ultinn-Lacksus and Hecate, leading to the two ignoring The Extinction Order and letting Abel to take action on the western seaboard to get the riots under control as punishment for daring to defy Ultinn.
Whereas the former vice president was a spineless coward who would only finger wag at uprisings, claiming he would deploy troops, Abel was not playing around. Martial law was declared on the west coast, and spare troops were even pulled out of multiple theatres of war to deal with the chaos. Volf Blitz would also send in Valdemaras Dykstra and Gudrun Holzknecht to help get the riots under control, as rogue cells of Amramtrong from Universe-0X had surfaced and attempted to restart their cult – The riots were beginning to resemble the lead up to the World War III of Earth-0X, and the rioters would not stop screaming “THE CITIZEN IS DEAD, PANEM ET CIRCENSES.” They were also mimicking tactics Amramtrong had used back in Earth-0X in regards to Creativity Inquisitions, and furthermore there were groups trying to bring back Karnage and Rick Dirrt’s infamous “The Movement of The People.” Jethro Cottonwood and Akira Diggory would also get involved to keep an eye on Valdemaras and Grudrun, on top of the fact that Prokhor Zaytsev and Anselm Fenwick were also reportedly sighted.
Throughout all of this chaos, The League would learn more about the illicit actions and trades that took place as per the schemes of The Extinction Order and Profane Alliance. Many were arguably too abhorrent to discuss, but were also not surprising as they had been established as rumors that had been all but confirmed in the lead up to The Hollywood Files Riots. Amongst the exposures came information on Fool’s Stones that The League had been looking for, which would also go on to help Vlad IV Dracul in dealing with the schemes of Hecate and Baal. What The League was looking for in particular was the origin of Fool’s Stones, and their connection to the enigmatic Demiurge. They had enough information to comfortably establish the connection, but they wanted that clincher that would confirm their suspicions without a shadow of a doubt.
The Demiurge
The Demiurge is the ultimate deceiver who has been claimed to be the ruler and creator of existence. This is not the case, and was a lie told to people such as Plato by the Demiurge. The Demiurge is actually a force of order who acts with unshakable precision. Despite his rogue nature and nigh unknowable origin, he helped give logic and reasoning to the shaping of the pure forms when God created The Cosmos – but he did not design these forms, rather helping to put them together. Much like how Ianoda is viewed as the shadow of Adonai in the micro, The Demiurge can be seen as God’s shadow in the macro. Purgatory is often said to have lacked deities, being overseen by Death, but in truth these entities nearly needed to be pulled from the mindless chaos into order, and The Demiurge is credited with creating entities such as The Gods of Order.
The Demiurge also created the world soul, which gave rise to the collective unconscious, but this sowed the potential for evil in man. Evil is ignorance taken to its logical extreme, giving way to fools who seek enlightenment from the material after letting their fear run wild. This was something that the gods abhorred, but recognized as necessary for the Cosmos to exist. There was no mercy or cruelty in the Demiurge’s actions, rather symmetry and a union of opposites. The creation of the world soul is often mistaken with the creation of Man, which is not the case. God and the gods created man, and the Demiurge created the potential for evil. Those who adhere to the lies of the Demiurge often believe man is inherently evil, hence the Demiurge created “man” in their eyes.
The Eons of grace, mind, and wisdom were the arbiters of truth, and were originally set to join God in governing the Cosmos, but the Eon of Wisdom reached too far into the early chaos of The Void Era. This Eon would become known as Sophia, and this rupture created a heresy that saw the Eons unfit to rule over the Cosmos alongside God. This act, however, gave rise to The Demiurge, who was seen as a necessity for the existence of The Cosmos. He came into being as an ignorant entity, a clean slate who would learn about The Source from an outsider’s perspective. He began to shape chaos around him, which would help God create the Cosmos, and gave the Gods something to disagree with, leading to imperfection and their existence. This great disagreement would stem from when the Demiurge declared “I am God, and there is no other beside me.” This was a lie, but was viewed as a challenge to the authority of God, leading the gods to speak up, and begin influencing the Cosmos.
The creations of the Demiurge were seen as an imitation of The Heavenly Spheres, and were deemed inhospitable for Man and Gods alike, and was cast out into the depths of The Dream Realm. It is widely believed that the Cosmos itself is an imprint of the creations of the Demiurge to a degree. The Demiurge has no dominion over Souls, and they remain alien to him despite what he has learned – which is why his realm and himself remain in The Dream Realm. The Dream Realm is unending chaos stemming from the infinite potential of ideas, meaning he will never run out of chaos to shape. He does not question himself in a spiritual sense, as there is nothing to question given that he has unending purpose. Rather, he questions those who confront or challenge him, pointing out the foolishness of trying to challenge the natural order of things.
Oil is widely agreed to be the blood of the Demiurge given physical form – Oil is simultaneously the literal blood of the Demiurge and not its blood. When oil forms, it captures the essence of the beings it came from, and that becomes a medium for base thoughts and matter, congealing in a gestalt consciousness that pushes man towards carnal desires. Oil becomes the blood of the Demiurge in the sense that it represents the philosophy of gnosticism, that the Demiurge is the ultimate deceiver, and the archons are jailers designed to hinder all progress through bureaucracy. The Demiurge grows more powerful when fewer and fewer people give into their temptations, with the Demiurge potentially being his strongest when power consolidates in one person, potentially creating a new Demiurge to replace the old one.
Oil corrupts those of weak will and empowers those of strong will. It is not evil, rather it is an existence who is fundamentally incompatible with those seeking enlightenment and wholeness. It is a stepping stone one must acknowledge before they can embark on the path to the light, similar to entities like Chorozon. Oil can be seen as the shadow of Earth, and it helps give form to chaos by enabling society to progress. This partially aligns with the gnostic path to God – Oil can distract man from wholeness, which is similar to how the Demiurge deceives the Cosmos. It also functions in line with the modus operandi of the Demiurge, and what would have been the purpose of the archons.
Oil is often mistaken as a great, eldritch and satanic entity by conspiracy theorists and theory-fictionists, that it is an “ancient enemy” that will develop a god-complex and destroy humanity. All of this is a lie that perpetuates when one embraces Oil as a god, stemming from the lies of The Demiurge. In reality, it is the blood and waste of The Demiurge. As for how it forms into Fool’s Stones, this occurs when great strife occurs in a region rife with oil. This strife “stresses out” the oil with excitement or despair, causing imperfections to form. These imperfections are congealed and sealed inside a stone so that the oil may heal. Naturally these stones eventually rise to the surface through natural means or oil drilling. The vast majority of oil drilling companies are aligned with The Extinction Order, and are told to ignore these stones and place them in special units. Men in unmarked vehicles will show up to collect these stones, and anyone who dares question them or merely acknowledges their existence is thrown in jail or prison with fabricated charges.

The aftermath of The Demiurge’s actions
The archons were originally supposed to be the ministers of the Demiurge if he had been allowed to rule alongside God, but this never happened, leaving the archons ignored and without true purpose. They tried to impose order and rules on The Cosmos, but this was corrupted without guidance from their master, leading them to try to block those who are not worthy of enlightenment. This process was fundamentally incompatible with the hermetic model, as the gnostic model condemned the climb to enlightenment. The archons foolishly defended the lies of the Demiurge, that matter was all that was, which may have led to the rage of The Abrogate from an era that never existed. Gnosticism also suffered from this ignorance, becoming a belief that God was insecure, and that powers that be only existed to maintain rigid order and bureaucracy over man, preventing them from reaching true enlightenment. Hermes Trismegistus attempted to dispel these notions over the centuries, but his teachings were ignored in favor of the self-aggrandizing nature of gnosticism.
Gnosticism is viewed as a distortion of the truth, the lies of the Demiurge taken out of proportion and spread as truth by those who wished to oppress the masses and prevent them from reaching true enlightenment and wholeness. Thankfully there would be philosophers that would reject the lies, who would declare The Source was imperfect – while this still was not the true teachings of Hermes Trismegistus, it was a step in the right direction. Throughout the centuries, Hermes did not want philosophers to conflate The Demiurge with other important figures, and especially not him. While The Demiurge is to be lauded for his boldness and the help he provided in shaping the Cosmos, he is not to be elevated to a higher pedestal above nor lessened from any other individual or achievement. This risks falling victim to his lies. Hermes naturally grew worried when figures like Paracelsus incorporated gnostic beliefs into his alchemical works.
The Demiurge is not evil, but he shows no sign of ever relenting in his roles, which may be why The Abrogate targets gnostic entities. The Demiurge maintains a seeming self-destructive cycle of degeneracy out of what can be interpreted as sadism, but this stops his lies from corrupting hermeticism. While the Demiurge is a chaotic rogue of mild-manners, he also recognizes his true role in the Cosmos and that he needs to keep those of foul intent at bay, making sure they never advance. The Demiurge does not punish, bless, or care – rather, he performs the role of order itself. The gods shun gnostic entities, and the Demiurge revels in this as he views it as validation for his mission. While everyone calls him dangerous and corrupting, the Demiurge believes that gods like The Rubber God, The Crimson God, The Tyrant God, The Sepulcher God, The Goolubber God, The Zombie God, and The Star Eater are the truly dangerous ones.
Many try to walk the path of the Demiurge thinking they will become all powerful, but this only creates psychotic tyrants who are devoured by the Demiurge when they die, and the waste of the Demiurge seeps into oil across the Cosmos, allowing these repugnant souls to be reborn until they degenerate into nothing more than the base matter that becomes the impurity of prima materia that is cleansed through alchemy. The addiction to Fool’s Stones seen in the elite aligned with The Lost Darkness God allows the cycle of the Demiurge to perpetual ad infinitum. The Demiurge’s great power when there are few giving into corruption and carnal desires ensures that he will never be replaced. He becomes too powerful in this state, and challengers are non-existent in his weakened state. This guarantees that there will always be evil in existence, but that it will also never become all-powerful – The Demiurge is a proud king who refuses to give up his throne to usurpers.
The Universe-97NGE incident was a notable attempt at his throne, and the Demiurge lent his help to Dumah to get the universe under control. Universe-9195Æ would see the insane socialite, Amable Dudek, attempt to create a false demiurge in an attempt to elevate the people of Earth to a higher plane of existence by eliminating all crime. This would attract the attention of The Abrogate who would attempt to destroy all of humanity, having viewed it as corrupted by the false Demiurge. The real Demiurge would intervene, and this is when The League discovered that the Demiurge had the ability to destroy The Abrogate if he so chose. Feeling insulted and left out of the fun of Universe-9195Æ, the Demiurge would chase away The Abrogate and destroy the false Demiurge.
Nebuchadnezzar the Mad sought out the Demiurge after his failed conquest of Lost Carcosa so he could become the next Demiurge in his plan to enter The Lost Era. The Demiurge laughed this off, but Nebuchadnezzar ignored this and attacked the Demiurge, leading to incomprehensible battles across The Dream Realm and Untamed Reality. These battles may be another reason why The Abrogate has become active, and it has tried to target Nebuchadnezzar, only to be repelled with ease. These anomalies have been documented by Choronzon, Kokobiel, and Hyperion. While Nebuchadnezzar’s motives are incoherent and nonsensical, it is ultimately believed that his goal is to usurp God as vengeance for when he turned his mind into that of animal’s, except this never happened because this Nebuchadnezzar originated from an idea in a story.
Karnage has tried to recruit Nebuchadnezzar the Mad in the past, but these efforts were never successful as the mad man refused to cooperate or even acknowledge Karnage as a potential ally. This led to Karnage abandoning any attempts to form plans and schemes around the Demiurge, as he ultimately viewed it as a waste of time. This is also why Karnage never truly helped Hecate-23 with any of her plans to usurp The Demiurge, using them merely as a means to an end. All of this chaos has led to some archons and other gnostic entities seeking out non-gnostic individuals for help, only for their approaches to be misinterpreted as oppression and bureaucracy. And these actions only serve to paint massive targets on their backs for The Abrogate.
Those who have challenged The Demiurge also include Surtr and The Great Evil of Universe-XX444. The Great Evil had fallen for the lies of The Demiurge and had become nihilistic, seeking to usurp The Demiurge to gain control of her universe, only to be stopped by Exhehal in a coincidental act of divine intervention. Surtr believes The Demiurge knows where The King in Yellow is, but whether or not The Demiurge actually knows is anyone’s guess given his propensity to lie. The Lost Darkness God intends to subjugate The Demiurge so that he may shape The Void Era in his own image, amongst many unknowable plots and schemes of his. Hecate-23 sought to challenge The Demiurge by eliminating all people on Earth so that she may regain her power and control of her destiny, but this plan would fail when she attempted to follow Ultinn’s orders to capture an Eternal Order defector…
Some speculate The Abrogate is the shadow of The Demiurge, others say it is his conscience trying to protect all that is good. The latter explanation is favored more than the former, but even this cannot be confirmed with certainty. The Abrogate’s nature makes it difficult to study even for gods and higher dimensionals. The Demiurge has the ability to destroy The Abrogate, but chooses not to to teach it a lesson that it is fighting against the inevitable, and that the Demiurge cannot be usurped. The Abrogate through its actions has stated that it is not seeking to usurp the Demiurge, but the Demiurge refuses to accept this as nothing more than a delusion and denial. This angers The Abrogate, causing it to become more fervent in its hunting of the gnostic entities. Current speculation proposes that The Abrogate will become a tangible entity during the third phase of the Cosmos, and this is when the gods plan to track down The Abrogate so they may finally have an audience with it.

The Dreamstalker (the rogue ar’ton of nightmares) documents the battles between The Demiurge and the usurpers given that these battles often take place in The Dream Realm, which contributes to his heretical nature. The Demiurge is one of the great fears of the ar’ton, hence why they forbid research into the subject. Spiritus Magni Julia embarked on her journey to enter The Dream Realm to study the Demiurge, and did so without telling her fellow Spiritus Magni. Julia currently resides in The City of Everfantasy, where she runs a great library and archive of her findings and information she has collected from all over the Cosmos and The Dream Realm. While many would think she has become all-knowing, in truth she has barely read through her great collection, only having made it through about 5% of her vast knowledge on account of being too busy to sit down and read all of it. Gilgamesh and The Six-Eared Macaque work with Julia and her void patron, The Neanderthal God, to make sure Nebuchadnezzar the Mad does not take his battle with The Demiurge into the Cosmos proper. They also make up the backbone of The League’s Dream Realm division.
The Great Unspeaker is a reluctant speaker for The Demiurge, as he does not like the modus operandi of the gnostic entities, and is hesitant to provide them sanctuary and assistance. Unfortunately, Azathoth–The Blind Idiot God, heavily favors The Demiurge. Azathoth is the embodiment of chaos and irrationality who lies at the center of all of existence in a state of being that does not exist, with the realm being impossible to enter through intentional means. Those of lower dimensional status need to wander there through sheer accident, and higher dimensional dare not enter his domain, lest they become wrapped up in the mindless festivities that are Azathoth’s endless celebration of all that is and the chaos that keeps existence interesting. Azathoth loves music, and there are instruments and performances of all kinds from all over the Cosmos and beyond in his court, making the festivals incredibly tempting to join.
What annoys The Great Unspeaker is that Azathoth arguably does not accomplish anything meaningful for the Cosmos when working with The Demiurge. In his mind they are both idiots – a lot of things The Great Unspeaker and his kin accomplish are erroneously attributed to Azathoth. To the Unspeaker, Azathoth is an ignorant child that has no idea what he is doing. To be fair, The Demiurge does clean up after Azathoth’s messes as per his mission, so The Unspeaker is grateful for that. The Demiurge seems to also recognize that Azathoth is a child, and that letting entities like him run rampant would be bad for reality as a whole.
The reason why Azathoth is relevant is because both Nebuchadnezzar and Surtr have attempted to get the location of The King in Yellow out of Azathoth… disregarding the fact that The King in Yellow was never an Astral Entity to begin with. The Great Unspeaker personally cannot stand The King in Yellow, and makes sure to chase him and his influence away whenever he can. The Demiurge and The Dreamstalker would respond to this battle, which allowed The Dreamstalker to finally meet The Demiurge. The two would hit it off, with The Demiurge sharing his vast wealth of knowledge with the outcast ar’ton. In return The Dreamstalker would document the usurpers who foolishly tried to usurp The Demiurge. The Dreamstalker is also researching the gnostic issue, trying to figure out where The Abrogate came from, and to see if it reasoned with some day. The fact that archons have wandered into his realm also provoked The Dreamstalker’s interest in the subject, as he considered it bizarre that they would be seeking knowledge rather than being the ministers and jailers of The Demiurge.
