Yes, I said on Patreon I was going to be drawing Terrus next, but for some reason I wanted to draw Ferdi instead. Who is Ferdi? Well let's get into that!
We're about to cover The Trench Unlight and I don't really have anything for the topic. Really all I can give you is the lore entry on The Unlight itself... the only issue being that The Trench Unlight is only mentioned. Lore Entry 6

The Trench Unlight is the layer of The Unlight past The Deep Unlight. Whereas that region is incredibly dangerous and untamed, The Trench Unlight goes beyond that. It is an ocean-like region where travel is difficult and there are all manner of strange and never-before seen entities. To even make it through the realm requires special ships designed to traverse the vast void of the trench, with tangible land masses being few and far between, and strange sub-realms with their own rules and laws all over the place. So far the only consistent way of entering the trench is through The Magician's Labyrinth which serves as a research station for the trench.
The most famous voyages of The Trench Unlight were that of The Unmariner, with the project lead being The Mage of Old, also known as Eustorgio Pryce. The second voyage that set out to explore The Abyssal Unlight saw the crew encounter a dragonfish by the name of Ferdi Niko Fertig. Ferdi was a wanderer who had actually left his home as it had become a part of The Deep Unlight. Ferdi always felt at home in the Trench and yearned to return to it. What the crew of The Unmariner discovered was that Ferdi had achieved ULTRAMagic at some point and recommended him to The ULTRAMagic Guild.
Ferdi would join the guild as ULTRAMagic Mariner, but elected to keep roaming The Trench Unlight. He travels around in his ship, The 96, a submarine-like spaceship based on an isopod. Many ask if Ferdi ever gets lonely, but he has stated that the oceanic sounds of the trench soothe any worry he could ever have. He's not against people coming with him as he's actually quite friendly, if quiet more often than not. It should be noted that Ferdi does make his way to the ar'ton planet within the Trench to see his friend, Terrus, the ar'ton chronicler of shadows.

And I'll end it there by saying Ferdi loves Celtic folk music, so it's not like he's in complete silence when traveling with someone. Next up will absolutely be Terrus, no two ways about it.
