It is the start of the ULTRAMagic Guild and Blood-Wraith is ready to help lead the next generation of ULTRAMagic mages, in memory of his deceased friend, Leif. Of course things get interesting when an old friend and ally of Queen Dunja, Valerie Ter Avest, emerges to conquer the Unlight and unite it against the forces of evil. What ensues is a chaotic cat and mouse game between Blood-Wraith and Valerie, both competing for the right to protect the Unlight. What Blood-Wraith does not realize is that the help from the future that one of his guild mates called in  because of Valerie’s cunning and wit will be quite the challenge in and of themselves. How this bout will turn out is anyone’s guess, and Blood-Wraith is facing it head on… for better or for worse.
