UMAE 2026 - The Black-Red God

Yeah, we got some art of a character that is going to be mentioned in an upcoming lore entry... and by upcoming, I mean Lore Special 6 which will probably be up by the end of November... (sigh). To be fair he was mentioned in Anomalous Planet Dossier 4.
Some of this lore will touch up on topics and themes I brought up in this upload.

The Black-Red God is one of the rare groups of hermetic gods that embody unique concepts, something up-and-coming gods are told to avoid by their elders and peers. Unique concepts lack identity that concepts such as Crimson, Metal, Screaming, Grass, and Shadows hold. This can either lead to strongly independent and stoic gods such as The Goolubber God, or insecure and reclusive gods such as The Black-Red God. Black-Red has had an interesting history as a god, having gone back and forth between general manifestations ever since becoming a god.
During the early Epoch of the Cosmos, Black-Red was a nebulous, genderless entity that embodied black and red. Upon meeting his best friend, The Goolubber God, Black-Red would start manifesting as a female, and this would persist until the late Epoch-Modernity Transition Phase. Black-Red had begun to interact with lower dimensionals and would spend more time with The Firedirt God, Goolubber's other best friend. Black-Red saw how chaotic the second phase of the Cosmos was going to be, and Firedirt's confidence imprinted on Black-Red, causing her to begin manifesting as a male. Despite adopting more masculine traits, aspects of his old female manifestation can still be seen in his current manifestation ranging from how he presents himself, his mannerisms, and the anatomy of his manifestation.
And then the second phase of the Cosmos, and Black-Red aggressively avoided the lower dimensions like the plague. Many Earths across the Cosmos were becoming obsessed with the idea of being the wrong gender, but more often than not The Black-Red God witnessed these movements being infiltrated by bad actors who sought to proselytize the unknowing into wild and chaotic political ideologies that outright rejected the gods as "fiction," "fascism," or even "bigotry." Furthermore, Black-Red felt like he was having his intelligence insulted – Black-Red was never born wrong, was never "assigned a gender," nor did he have a condition or a disorder: He just had trouble deciding on what he wanted his main manifestation to be. He did not need solidarity, protection, and justice – he needed simple advice.
“AND THIS IS WHY I AVOID THE LOWER DIMENSIONS! No, you imbecilic little human, I don’t have a problem or a ‘dysphoria,’ nor do I need your platitudes and virtue signaling: I NEED ADVICE… or to be left alone, preferably the latter.”

The only thing that managed to bring Black-Red back into the lower dimensions in recent times, aside from The Goolubber God working with The League, was a warrior by the name of Bartelot Eliasson of Universe-ZZX912 – becoming his void patron. From this, more has been learned about what The Black-Red God is like. Black-Red, despite presenting himself as a cool guy that would wear a T-shirt with the iconic M and W letters, is a goofball. He is a massive nerd that loves video games and analyzing media, and has a preference for 80s and 90s pop music and disco. Black-Red also tends to lecture those he perceives as too-big-for-their-britches with his vast wealth of knowledge and experiences over the eons of the Cosmos.
