Well I guess I finally got this character off the ground. This is Doppelganger, a character I've been wanting to add into the lore for a while now. We are talking all the way back to 2021.

Well I guess I finally got this character off the ground. This is Doppelganger, a character I've been wanting to add into the lore for a while now. We are talking all the way back to 2021.

Doppelganger is an 11th dimensional entity that can absorb any 3rd dimensional entity and mimic them perfectly. She comes from well before the Cosmos as we know, hailing from the Epoch of the Cosmos. It would seem she did not properly reincarnate when the Cosmos moved onto the modern phase. Instead she began ascending dimensions, becoming incredibly advanced. Entities within the 10D to 12D range is not unheard of, but what she is doing in the lower dimensions is pause for concern.
She has stated that she was Zasiel's lover during the Epoch and is incredibly confused as to why he started a relationship with the angel Tanya Devilfay. Zasiel and Doppelganger never ended their relationship. To fix this conundrum, she came to a compromise with Tanya: They would create Morrigan Devilfay, an entity that would embody both of them. That way they could both spend time with Zasiel without getting in the way of each other.

Doppelganger may seem like a god to us, but in reality she is just an average person amongst her peers. This whole situation is nothing but awkward accidents. Is this a retcon to Morrigan's lore? Yes and no... It's not like I'm changing her origin, just adding onto it. Morrigan doesn't have real parents in Inferno, so the whole situation with Doppelganger and Tanya is a bit awkward for her.
As for the scene? Who said Will couldn't spend time with her? Of course, she has her own idea of spending time together.
If you notice a vague similarity to Double from Skullgirls, yes, that is fully intentional. Not the villainous aspect of Double, but having a character that can shape shift on the fly.

12/20/2025 Explanation - So what's the issue here? This seems like it would fit perfectly into the current canon. Well here's the deal: This is actually The Doppelganger God, the lover of The Tyrant God... and obviously none of this lore really jives with that. The main issue here is that the lore is based on the origin story for Universe-0Y, which will NEVER be made public under any circumstances. Doppelganger back in that story was an 11D entity that wasn't properly fleshed out and written LONG before The Tyrant God was implemented into ULTRAMagic Alternate. The Doppelganger God will be revamped and may be appearing in the upcoming ULTRAMagic Haze & Chaos... Also there's the fact that I am not satisfied with the current character design and need to fix it.
