It should be noted that Man is not supposed to travel beyond a light-year on their own planet. This is normally impossible in every sense of the word, but some manage to break the rules. This has led to the creation of what are called "Overflow Realms." These bizarre distortions of reality are home to all sorts of strange and incomprehensible things. One realm of particular note is The Night Realm. It is the home of ULTRAMagic Hunter, The Hydra of Old, Katsuko Yoshinaga, and Beauregard Amadeus Vonterr.
Beauregard was originally just a small little blob wandering The Night Realm. He had no name, no family, and nothing to do with his life. Strangely he had magic potential. This was noticed by the mighty Hydra of Old. He was fascinated by the little blob and decided to get him out of the wilderness and raise him. The blob would eventually grow into the Beauregard we all know and love. He would also become a skilled Alchemist, making his adoptive father proud.
The Hydra of Old had been tasked with watching over The Night Realm, as a notorious Rogue God known as The Sepulcher God was sealed away there. Due to constant attempts from The Crimson God to free his comrade, The Hydra has tasked many individuals with keeping an eye on people arriving in The Night Realm. Beauregard is happy to do this job as he gets to meet all sorts of entities and people. His job is to welcome them and either guide them to The Electric City or show them the way out of The Night Realm.
Things have been interesting for Beauregard as of late. Two individuals have shown up that have shaken things up. One is an Oni named Katsuko Yoshinaga. She was recruited by The Hydra to help him deal with an issue relating to the rogue gods. The other individual was a man by the name of Barry Esko Boyle. Barry was a young man who was lost and confused. Beauregard would take this mage in and he would be tutored by The Hydra. Beauregard views Barry as his brother, so he was a little concerned when an individual from The ULTRAMagic Guild asked Barry if he wished to join said guild.
