- - Morrigan's beginnings - -

Morrigan Devilfay is a succubus who was born from another succubus, Tanya the Bloody (real name: Marion Elizabeth Devilfay). Tanya was just sitting around, mulling over her busy life when a crying baby that just seemingly popped out of nowhere. While taken by surprise, Tanya naturally took in the spontaneous offspring. This child would be named Morrigan. Something was off though as Morrigan was not a true offspring. She seemed to split off from Tanya as opposed to being born. This kind of thing happens from time to time in Hell. Also note that the vast majority of demons do not just pop up fully grown. Even they have to start at square one and grow into who they are.

Morrigan went to school and did well for herself. Growing up she was not exactly sure what she wanted to do as an adult, but she did have an interest in fashion. She liked to draw and thought about whether she could wear the things she drew. During school, she would meet her best friend and rival: Lerissa Bloodfang. The two bounced off each other and encouraged each other to do better. Their friendship would end up pushing them into being fashion designers. Once they were out of school, Lerissa would create Blood Onyx and Morrigan would create Morri-Clothing. Both companies saw reasonable success, but Morrigan's interests shifted a bit... she wanted to be a warrior.

- - The Unlight - -

Morrigan had learned about the Unlight, the void physically manifested. There was seemingly unending land to be discovered and/or claimed. Morrigan had been watching a lot of heavy metal fantasy epics and wanted to take a crack at conquering the Unlight. Really she was just going to find untamed land and claim it in her name and in the name of Hell. Of course Morrigan realized the Unlight was dangerous, so she sought out a blacksmith to make her a sword.

Weaver Craddock would make her a greatsword named "Sepulcher." She was taken aback by how wicked and twisted it was, but accepted it regardless. Now she was out to find whatever she could. Stumbling across a tribe of warriors called The High Warriors, she challenged their leader to combat. If she won, they would join in her journey to tame parts of the Unlight. If she lost? It's unclear as she never said and had no plans to lose. She won... by the skin of her teeth. Presumably she would just leave and look for other lands in the Unlight.

After picking up several other tribes, they made great progress and gained quite the army. The lands they claimed would come to be known as Morrigan's Domain. Of course Morrigan's army was not going unnoticed. She would be met by the Empress Eliza-Rex, leader of the Metal Empire. Eliza-Rex naturally wanted Morrigan's domain as it was an incomprehensibly vast amount of land that had great potential. Morrigan was going to take this sitting down, so she recruited one last tribe: The War Fangs. They were a tribe of Void Orcs who were known amongst other tribes in the Unlight for being some of the toughest warriors around. These hulking nomads were masters of combat and strategy. They rode into battle in massive war vehicles and tanks with all sorts of weapons at their disposal. Their arsenal was rudimentary, but that was not going to stop them from charging into a good fight. When they heard what Morrigan was up against, they leapt at the opportunity to join her.

There were many battles from this point onwards, with each side unable to get the advantage over the other. Whereas the Metal Empire was organized and disciplined, Morrigan's forces were tenacious and refused to give in. Eventually the conflict culminated in one final battle that would decide the victor... except it ended in a draw. No matter how well they fought, the two armies could not beat each other. This realization led to both sides gaining respect for the other. Morrigan felt so fulfilled and Eliza-Rex was truly happy to meet someone who could stand up to her and then some. One could say the two armies even became allies because of all of this. Alas, Morrigan had finally grown tired of being a general and decided to retire back to Hell. She would leave her domain in the hands of the tribes she had recruited and even Eliza-Rex to a degree.

Interestingly this war of sorts seems to have allowed Eliza-Rex to calm down after the upset that was the betrayal by her creator. She was also thrown for a loop when a couple of years later she met Morrigan from way into the far future. To say the flow of time in the Unlight is convoluted is an understatement.

- - Returning to Hell - -

Morrigan's escapades were well known at this point in Hell and it had awarded her the rank of Prince in Hell's Pseudomonarchy. She returned to Morri-Clothing... to find it was a mess that was way behind Blood Onyx. Naturally Lerissa had to tease her a bit... but also praise her for her accomplishments. After getting her company back on track, she decided to start incarnating on Earth. This was an interesting time as she took on some odd and out there incarnations. Two of note were her life as a pirate captain in the 1700s and Samantha. Her pirate captain lifetime was hectic and ended not the way she wanted, so Samantha is a bit of a surprise from all angles. This lifetime is ongoing and has brought her back to the Unlight, but not as a commanding general this time.

- - In regards to Morrigan - -

Her personality: fun loving, sociable, energetic, and sassy. Morrigan is a hoot to be around. Many have nothing but positive things to say. She is friendly and there for you when you need help. She also loves adorable and sweet things, but also enjoys thrills and action. Jumping over to her mentality, one of her philosophies is to recruit someone as opposed to dominating them. Win them over, don't force them to join you. Another mentality of hers relates to her interest in being an artist and a scholar. While these are legitimate interests of hers, she is very concerned about the example she sets and what people think about her.

This is not vanity, it is concern and anxiety. It is believed it stems from her "birth" and how odd it was. She is very confused about her existence and does not want to make a fool of herself. Of course Morrigan can be a bit headstrong and overzealous at times (see the Unlight saga)... and teensy bit possessive. These are not truly detrimental, but they are still there. Why is this exactly? Again, it may stem from her origin, wanting to prove herself for some reason. And yes, she does have moments of self-awareness where she kicks herself for her brash actions at times.

Her magic is odd. The best way to describe it is a mix of Necromancy and Alchemy. This magic seems to have influenced her Samantha incarnation, with Sam being an Alchemist learning Necromancy. Part of this magic is also tied to her sword, it being able to become coated in undead flame. Aside from her magic, she has great strength, endurance, and charisma. Being a succubus gives her an unnatural charm, which has helped her win over allies and people all throughout her existence.
