UMAE 2023 - Lance and Infinity

In regards to Infinity:

• Despite his specialty being Soul magic, Infinity is a bit of a savant when it comes to Alchemy. He has yet to create a Philosopher's Stone, but displays traits of a master Alchemist, as observed by Drusa and Hermes Trismegistus. Getting stuck in the rift did have its perks, allowing him to study Alchemy for an ungodly amount of time. Why he has not created a stone yet is unclear. It has also been questioned whether or not his aptitude is actually Alchemy, rather than Soul magic.
• Infinity is starting to branch out into Necromancy and Aura. Necromancy is not exactly necessary, but several of his fellow guild mates have pushed him to start learning it. Aoife made him start learning Aura after seeing his lacking physical strength.
• Even though he retired from the Reality Walkers, he has had to go back and clean up a few messes here and there.

In regards to Lance:

• Lance despises it when you use his real name... Do NOT do it if you learn his name. Infinity is one of the few people he allows and even then it is only when they are on their own. Why Lance is so sensitive about this is uncertain, with Infinity refusing to divulge the details.
• Infinity is starting to get Lance to learn Alchemy with Aoife pushing for him to start learning Aura. Weave is out of the question given that his only proper relationship is his current best friend, Infinity. Theoretically Lance could become the strongest mage from his timeline. And yes, he does still go back and check in on it occasionally.
• Lance has been having amazing luck with Tornado based spells. He was able to create a consistent EF3 Tornado and used it to fend off a band of marauders that were planning to attack the guild (not that they would have succeeded, but still).
• Lance has been itching to get involved in more Unlight conflicts as of late. This has been marked with a rise in static electricity emanating from him when he is excited. Reaper is extremely hesitant to let this happen as he does not want to see more Thunder Wastelands pop up in the Unlight.

    I wanted to play around with lighting again. The ULTRAMagic Guild uses fire and torches to light up the place, so I figured this was a good opportunity to try out using a different color for the scene light. And yes, I wanted to try out different emotional expressions... Yes, I have been watching Soul Eater as of late.

    This took forever to work on... Yesterday my slow as balls method took me 4 hours to do the line art. I finished the color by seven. Both days I started at two... I need to fix my art method. I may go back and edit the drawing I did of Aoife in the guild hall. The background to that one could have been better.

The version I did to make their suits look less like Latex for DA's standards (even these two are quietly into latex clothing...)
