- - Valentina's History - -

In the distant past, long before the dawn of man, an angel left heaven... As if we haven't heard that story before. The first angel rebellion, the banishment of Satan, and the exile of Lucifer had taught the residents of Heaven something interesting: You technically didn't need to stay in Heaven. It wasn't ideal, but one could leave Heaven if they felt the need to do so. While Adonai wasn't keen on it, he wasn't about to trample over the free-will of his children. One such angel, Valentina (not her original name), felt that Heaven was holding her back and that she would be better off in Hell. The transition wasn't pleasant and she was out of commission for a while upon arriving in Hell. Once she was back up and running, she had no idea what to do next.

One day while she was wandering a park in one of the many cities of Hell, she stumbled upon the demon kings Bael and Byleth. The two arch demons were discussing this and that when they noticed Valentina and invited her to come talk with them. The three ended up discussing Valentina's lack of direction when Byleth suggested that she take up Arcane Science. Arcane Science is the study of the realms, the multiverse, and the secrets of reality itself. Bael even offered to let Valentina peruse his vast library of tomes, grimoires, and scrolls that he had collected over the eons. Suffice it to say the directionless fallen angel took the king up on his offer without hesitation.

Valentina spent a long time studying and researching all that she could. Any source of information was on the table, even if she had to venture into eldritch realms of chaos and madness. During this time she wore a trench coat and a pointed hat. The coat held any necessities and the hat looked cool and could hide her identity if need be. She would learn a lot until she got to a point where she felt she could begin experimenting. Experiment on what you say? Anything she could think of. Her experiments ranged from corresponding with eldritch entities, creating magic metals, developing transmutation catalysts, finding new ways to generate energy, harnessing the power of black holes, venturing into alternate universes, and even unintentionally creating new types of demons.

Alas, there was a moment when Valentina realized she may have been in over her head. In a bout of scientific mania, she drew up the plans for a quasi hive mind that could unite everyone under one leader that would negate death and allow the transfer of information down the generations... but then she took a step back and considered the bigger picture: would this actually help a civilization? Or would it just cause more harm than good? Humanity at the time was at the height of the black death, which would have been perfect timing to introduce such a concept. What stopped Valentina was seeing alternate timelines where other individuals had tried similar, only for the whole operation to go south. To say the plans were merely shelved was an understatement: they were outright abandoned.

The bold and brash Arcane Scientist finally reined herself in. She returned to her roots and studied. Book writing was also something she took up, talking about her research and past exploits. Even if Valentina was a wild card, Hell still benefited from her studies, with many of her experiments helping develop the technology and infrastructure of Hell. She also had a change of apparel, switching to a sleek body suit and wide-brimmed hat. Despite the plague doctors being incompetent and mostly failures, their hats were pretty cool. At some point, Valentina would get... Well, let's just say she got a little frisky with another fallen angel. Imagine her surprise when she woke up one morning and realized she was pregnant. Valentina would ponder on her new found offspring and ultimately decided to keep him. Why not? It would provide her all new research and knowledge... and she had been wanting to try her hand at being a mother. Eventually Antonio Pari was born and it was definitely an experience. Raising a newborn demon was tricky, especially without a father around. Regardless, Valentina adored Antonio and took the best of care of him.

Unfortunately Antonio had his rebellious "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ME!" phase a bit late into his teen years. Upon becoming an adult, he would take off for Earth... WHERE HE WOULD BECOME A MOBSTER. Valentina wasn't thrilled... and it pained her to see her son die in a confrontation with the cops. Even worse was the fact that Antonio had lost his memory upon returning to Hell. Valentina was advised not to confront Antonio as it could harm the return of his memories. Still, that wouldn't stop her from helping him from the shadows. She even went out of her way to meet with a Succubus who would begin the process of getting Antonio away from the crowd he had fallen in with. This allowed Antonio to fully recover his memories and he promptly returned to his mother... Valentina grounded Antonio, but then gave him the biggest hug ever. She has been keeping a close eye on him ever since.

Rumor has it that she also has a daughter, but this daughter is incredibly elusive if she does exist...

- - About Valentina - -

While her actions speak greatly on her personality, some things can be noted about Valentina's character. She's a proud scholar and researcher, but he's not above humility and modesty. She is persistent and dedicated to her studies, even if that means she ends up pulling all-nighters and neglecting her surroundings. Socially she's very talkative and friendly. This comes with the consequence of her being a massive nerd, however. Sometimes she forgets that others haven't read as much as she has. If you got lost in her explanations, don't be afraid to speak up. As a mother, she is fun-loving and doting. She wants the best for her family and will go out of her way to make sure that happens. In hindsight, this attitude may have contributed to Antonio's rebellious phase. Note that Valentina is very protective of her family and keeps an enchanted, M61 Vulcan stored in her hair to defend her family if need be.

And speaking of her hair, it serves as a set of extra appendages for research and experiments. The hair is incredibly strong and can even be used in combat. Valentina also boats incredible strength in her manifested form, capable of toppling a skyscraper with enough punches. As mentioned above, Valentina stores weapons in her hair and can get them out on the fly. The weapons consist of swords and assault rifles, all magically enchanted. The M61 Vulcan is the strongest that most people know about. Despite the artillery Valentina packs, she actually prefers to outwit her opponent rather than outgun or outmuscle them. Of course, expect heavy fire if you ever threaten Antonio or any of her loved ones for that matter...

- - Lore over - -

This took longer than I thought it would... or maybe it didn't. I started a bit late today and didn't really get going until about 4. Hey, I tried something new: I changed the eye outline to line up with Val's hair color. If you're wondering about the suit, it's her creation and is tailored to her body. It's a special latex that is made in Hell and is used widely throughout Hell. In case you are wondering, Duke is used gender neutrally here. It's also pretty high in Hell's Psuedomonarchy, being right under king. So yeah, Valentina is no one to sneeze at. In regards to the colors of her suit, I thought Crimson and Burgundy would look pretty nice. Some of the side colors are either interiors or details. The two colors connected to Crimson are the suit details and the color I used for creases.

Jeez, I need to wrap this up. Fortunately I said everything I needed to say with the lore. Tell me what you guys think. Yes, there will be more Valentina as time goes on. I mean, she is Antonio's mother after all.
