He's a ghost who's friendly and typically shows up at nighttime...

I'm going to be frank with you guys: I have got nothing this time around. I haven't done much with Haunt. Hell, that name wasn't decided on until after I finished the drawing. I've been distracted with the Unlight, the ULTRAMagic guild, and characters related to my own personal storyline. I'll do something with Haunt in the future, I'm just not sure what to do at the moment. I guess you can say he's canon to my work. It's not like he wouldn't be. Also his feet only look like that when they are close together. Can you hop inside of him? Yes, but I don't recommend it.
I got Artsy-fartsy this time around. I wanted to add a background and not have another transparent PNG again. Funny that it's the character that I don't have much written out for. Like for real, the story I intended him to be a part of is not going to materialize. Also no, he's not made of latex. That's just shiny ectoplasm. I'd be lying if I said that wasn't the original intention, however. Truthfully I wanted something I wouldn't have to put a mature content filter on.

- - Haunt's History - -
Who is Haunt? Haunt is the ghost of a 17th century suitor named Nathaniel Fernsby. On a boring day in the thirteen colonies, he was on his way to do his suitor thing when he was attacked by a British bandit. Fortunately a wolf spirit (who would become Brendan in the far flung future) was there to save Haunt. Unfortunately Haunt was a bit of an airhead at the time and walked off a cliff. This was... this was a bit of a blow to Brendan's psyche and made him realize how fragile and perishable humans were (something he had not quite come to grips with yet).
After acquiring help from a strong bear, Brendan retrieved Haunt's body and took it deep into the wilderness to bury it. He would spend a couple of days in silence, mulling over what had just happened. It was then when Haunt's Ghost would show up and give Brendan a big old hug and thank him for giving his body a proper burial. The two would become friends after that, yet would go their separate ways. Regardless, the two made time to seek each other out every now and then.
Haunt typically kept to the wilderness and outskirts during the 18th and 19th century. Before his death, he was on his way to a ship back to Britain and considering going back, despite currently being a ghost. Truthfully he wanted to see how the thirteen colonies would develop given that it was the year 1700... The next 200 years made him wish he had gone back to Britain. Color him surprised when the ghost of his girlfriend showed up in America, trying to get away from WWI.
Her name was Adelaide Sallow and she was heartbroken when she heard Haunt had died and refused to marry anyone else. She would end up dying alone and begin wandering as a ghost. Of course these were newborns spiritually speaking and did not realize they were supposed to move onto the other-side. Adelaide was beyond happy to see Haunt again and refused to leave his side. Haunt certainly was not complaining.
Note that Haunt and Adelaide are unique ghosts that appear as human to most people. Few can actually see them for who they are. These ghosts are quite rare.
Of course Haunt would track down Brendan so he could introduce his lover to him. Naturally Adelaide came to utterly adore Brendan. Over the course of the 20th century, Haunt and Adelaide would travel all over America. They would finally settle in New York in the 90s. After wandering around a bit, they would stumble upon an old, 3-story house that was abandoned. They figured why not settle down here? Of course they would have to address the crying ghost boy on the front porch...
The boy's name was Trevor MacQuoid and he had died a long time ago. He had no idea how to move on, so on Earth he stayed. Haunt and Adelaide took pity on the poor boy and offered to be his new parents. Consider that they never had the chance to have their own child. While Trevor was unsure at first, he accepted and the three became a family. The 3 lived undisturbed until around 2020, when interesting individuals would begin moving in all around them.
- - About Haunt - -
Let's talk about Haunt's personality for a quick second. As a human, Haunt was naïve and a bit airheaded. He was also very handsome and well built, so one could say he was a bit of a himbo. Death got him to finally use his head... a bit late for that, but better late than never. As a ghost, he became carefree and happy. It was a thrill not having to worry about your body and being able to go where he pleased. One thing he loved doing was going to parties and festivals. Since he typically appeared human, all he had to do was act normal and no one noticed they were in the company of a ghost... save for the random cold spots.
Haunt had also become incredibly helpful and kind (not to say he wasn't before) upon death. He would see a young boy being chased by ruffians and give the ruffians a good scare. Was a servant getting overworked? He would pay the servant's boss a special visit... A dock hand on a tight schedule and having just dropped something? Well a kind man would help him out and simply vanish. Does Haunt ever plan to move on? Probably not since he loves Earth and his lover at his side. Of course this has always made him curious about what Heaven and Hell are like. Of course Hell is easy to visit and nowhere near as bad as his old bibles said it was.
Some things to note:
Huh, didn't think I'd squeeze in some lore for Antonio. Anyways, Brendan the Wolf has already been mentioned. He is mentioned here: Floralia Alternate Chapter 0 and I thought I had mentioned him in Morrigan Devilfay's first upload, but I guess not. Yes, Brendan is insanely old and does eventually become Morrigan/Sam's familiar.

Some things to note:
- The roaring 20s were a load of fun, but he could see the stock market crash coming a mile away...
- Haunt once had an encounter with an Italian-American mobster by the name of Antonio Pari. Haunt was out wandering when he discovered a warehouse with some nice food stored in it. Feeling a little hungry, he decided to sample some of the food. Naturally this led to someone on guard shooting at him. The guard was Antonio and he was scared out of his wits. An honest to god ghost was running around the warehouse. Once Haunt realized he was being chased around, he decided to mess with Antonio a bit. After Haunt had his fun, he left and thanked Antonio for the food. Antonio still remembers this event to this day.
Huh, didn't think I'd squeeze in some lore for Antonio. Anyways, Brendan the Wolf has already been mentioned. There you go, there is some lore of Haunt. Will I draw Adelaide? Yes, I do plan to. I Will also probably draw Trevor at some point in the future (this isn't his first appearance). As for this drawing, I wanted to do something simple... Maybe I should have done a background, but to be fair I didn't plan one out, haha. Consider I am currently hacking my lungs out. I think this turned out pretty good. I wanted to draw Haunt being sassy and originally it was going to be him saying happy Halloween, but I didn't want to date the drawing. Also he does have an "eye" in his normal eye socket, something that was not depicted in the first drawing.
