ULTRAMagic Prelude - Chapter 10

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      Things had finally settled down since everyone had returned home. It took a few days, but Blood-Wraith had gotten over his anxiety and Tusk was adjusting to his new surroundings. Kresimira was particularly interested in the newcomer mage, wanting to gauge his skills and see what he knew. Observation revealed that Tusk was not exactly up to par with what was expected. His skills were on the level of an average mage, also indicating that his expertise was in decline. Kresimira had no plans to let this stand and got to work writing up a special lesson plan for him. Thankfully she could easily slot him into her Alchemy lessons the others were busy with at the moment.      “I would have used my new technique, but I felt the forest wouldn’t have appreciated it” Dragoslava stated. “And Blood had to deal with being a wolf.”      Tusk groaned. “Why do I get the distinct impression that would hav...

ULTRAMagic Prelude - Chapter 9

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      The feast that Sigmund had planned had to be delayed on account of Blood-Wraith still recovering from the battle with the Lich. Some of the cooks were also having trouble with some of the food that they were preparing. This was fine for the group as it gave them an excuse to stay in the village a little longer. Dragoslava spoke to more of the Tree People while Desislav talked with Sigmund about relocating his people to the forest. As for Blood-Wraith, he was being looked after by Tusk and Auda.      The next day Auda seemed to be doing a little dance around the bed Blood-Wraith was laying in. “Ooh Ooh Ooh, Ah Ah Ah! Get better fire, get better fire, GET BETTER, MR. FIRE!” Auda chanted as she danced around. “Feel better yet?”      Blood-Wraith groaned in discomfort. “No…” It was noon and he was still in bed.      “I think the problem is that you did too much after rece...

ULTRAMagic Prelude - Chapter 8

Previous | First | Next Master Post  - Patreon      Auda could not help but be enthralled by Blood-Wraith, following him wherever he went. He was such a strange person. How did fire that did not burn even exist? Something Tree People were privy to was one’s life force and Blood-Wraith had a very odd one on the grounds that his entire being was his life force. The body everyone saw was just a physical manifestation of himself. This also caused his body to be warm to the touch. Naturally Auda felt the need to leap onto his back while he was reading at the village library.      “Um hey, pardon me?”      Auda giggled. “You’re warm, Mr. Fire.”      “Excuse me, but do I look like a bovidae or an equine to you?”      She laughed. “What are those?”      “Goats and Horses…”      “Okay.” Auda stared at him, then smiled.      With a sigh, Blood-Wraith returned t...

ULTRAMagic Prelude - Chapter 7

Previous | First | Next Master Post - Patreon      “So there, that’s why we should have Desislav with us,” Dragoslava finished explaining.      “His strength and muscles?” Blood-Wraith was a bit confused. “What about his expertise in regards to forests?”      “That too!”      “This is quite the detour, but I’ll go along with it if you’re certain,” Leif replied as he flew back to The Iron City.      Dragoslava nodded. “Could you not worry, just a little bit? You’re 5th dimensional after all.”      Another reason why she wanted Desislav along was that she was secretly nervous. A forest with no definitive location had the potential to cause anyone to lose their sense of direction, amongst other potential issues. There was also the Lich, so she felt strength in numbers was ideal. Upon reaching the city, arcing electricity could be seen a ways off. It was likely to be Corentin, but the trio had ...

ULTRAMagic Prelude - Chapter 6

Previous | First | Next Master Post  - Patreon      Dragoslava was grumbling as she wrote down some notes. “This is so annoying…”      “What’s the matter?” Blood-Wraith asked, looking up from his book.      “I found another planet yesterday, but I can’t write down the coordinates! Every time I try, it turns into something completely unreadable. Look at this nonsense…”      Blood-Wraith studied the numbers. They looked like something he could understand, yet he could not. “Odd. They’re on the tip of my tongue too. What did the planet look like?”      “Blue, a very rich blue. My guess is that it is an ocean world… or a gas giant. Although there were what I think were land masses, so it’s probably an ocean world. Another odd thing is that it has multiple structures, one above each of the biggest land masses. They’re part of the reason why I want to go there; I want to find out what’s going on. Is it a gro...

ULTRAMagic Prelude - Chapter 5

Previous | First | Next Master Post  - Patreon      “I think I got it…” Blood-Wraith stated as he organized a pile of rocks into a tidy formation.      Kresimira nodded. “Alright, show me what you have come up with.”      Blood-Wraith held up his right hand above the rocks. It took a second, but a bolt of energy emanated from his palm and struck the pile. This caused the rocks to light up and shine brightly. A moment later they had formed into a 12 inch sculpture of him. At this point it was the end of the second week of tutoring and Kresimira had been hoping for this outcome. The sculpture was not perfect, but it proved that there was definitive progress,      “Well done, Blood-Wraith. Well done” Kresimira congratulated with a calm applause.      “...but I didn’t get all the details down.”      Kresimira took the sculpture and put it on her desk. “Don’t worry sweetie, it’s fine. It’s border...
